What does the Ranger costume do?

In the lore page it says that guards have orders not to interfere with the rangers and leave them alone. I tested it once and the guard did seem to not attack me when I ran past but he didn't seem to pleased with my presence.

Seems to be a bit of a inbetween of normal mouse and guard in how the rats behave. Gives you your normal movements back but doesn't provide the full protection from heckling by the rats as the armor does, but as far as I can tell, they won't try to kill you anymore They just rob you of food instead
