I'm stuck please help

I need to get to the shore to find out more about the smugglers or I need to get to the west gate to go into the catacombs. However, the only 5 areas i can actually get to (or at least i think so) are the keep, courtyard, sewers, jail and the tower (where the graves are)

I can't seem to advance the game and it's getting frustrating

west gate is across the yard from the smithy. SHould be no issue to get there in the guard outfit

To get to the catacombs, you'll need to talk to the commander first (you'll need the guard's outfit, it's part of a mission for Silas). The commander will give you an authorization to go to the harbour (to go there, there's a big wooden door,in the courtyard, and a guard in front of it, next to the stairs). When you've gotten past the guard, you'll take an elevator, there's three levels, the courtyard, the catacombs and the harbour).
For the smuggler's mission, you'll have to wait until you discover another part of the Far tower, but you need to explore the catacombs first.

Catacombs done. thanks! Any idea how to get into the distillery? It's the last part of the theives' outfit

Yep, explore the sewers (you'll have to sneak your way around two creatures in the water, and at some point there's a dead end with a hole on the left wall, above the water level)

Sorry, i mean where is the distillery key? It's not where the alchemist dude is.

I believe that the distillery key is in Faustus' area, but it has been a while since I picked it up.

There's a key on one of the tables in the alchemist lab, don't know which one though

I honestly can't see it. There's only one table, a shelf rack and his distillery in there. The key is on none of the above.

Is it perhaps outside of his room, nearby?

Possibly. I remember it being in the general area.

Have you searched the cupboard ? It’s out of reach, but still in the lab, you’ll have to find a stool or a bucket to access it

If we're talking about the distillery key, stand near Faustus. Take the first lot of steps leading up from where he is to where there's a locked gate. The key is right next to the gate hanging from a wall candle.
