Found that link one day going through some Stalker forums, thought it was pretty succinct and accurate (aside from the repair confusion) like the poster did so I bookmarked it. I've played with and without the complete mod and I did feel like it made the game too easy, but I think most of the hate for it isn't for the mod itself or some 'fanboy' sense of superiority but for its annoying fans. It's just overhyped.
If you don't like it after playing it, well at least you made up your mind about that.
Everyone is going to have an opinion, don't confuse that with something that is accurate or truthful.
In all seriousness, the Complete mod is kind of like training wheels for Stalker which isn't a bad thing in some cases.
The mods you mentioned are nothing but cheats.
Cheats will make the game easy and thus you will never know what the original game was all about.
But thats not a problem, some players dont have the time/patience/desire to figure out how to overcome difficulty, so they use cheats, i guess calling them mods makes them feel better or something.
If you enjoy playing the game like that, its fine and dandy, you will probably never know what the Stalker games are about but who cares, as long as you are having fun its all good and thats all that matters.
