Armour Attachments
I purchased the Body Cooler and quite obviously it has no effect when placed in your toolbelt slot. I haven't the slightest idea how to attach this to my suit. I even tried expirementing with Flesh Hide and an Advanced Sewing Kit but was it was to no suffice.

Anyone know how to utilize Hides and Armour Attachments? Either way I want my character to benefit from the effects of hides or attachments. Any ideas?

Armor Attachments are equipped using the toolbelt slot. Now I have not tested the Body Cooler attachment but seeing as Heat anomalies are one of the most dangerous anomalies in Misery 2.0 I assume you would only use the Body Cooler attachment together with gear that would provide Heat protection. Now I have been using the Titanuim Frame for increased carrying capicity and the effects are immediate when equipped in the toolbelt slot.

I believe Advanced Sewing Kits are for repairing gear or can act as a support item when repairing (haven't used one myself but I have played a bit with repairing guns).

NPC, I believe you are correct. After some more research and expirementation I came to a similar conclusion. The Body Cooler provides a bonus of 66% of your current protection against fire/flame. So taking into consideration that I had virtually NO fire resistance...lol. I'm sure you get the point. Additionally, the Flesh Hide's bonus properties do work when placed in a toolbelt slot.

I think the armour you were has to be slightly damaged before you can use the kit.

When u wish to repair any Armor items, that is what Sewing Kit is for. Now there are different kits, all providing better % of repair then others. When you go to use such a kit for repairs, it helps to have other items inside your inventory that say that they add a % when used for repairs, such as a Swiss Army Knife or Multi-Function Tool for example. These small items can't be used to directly repair something, a main kit such as Sewing Kit or Weapon Repair kit is needed to start the initial repair process. The smaller items just allow an added % to be applied once you go to apply a repair kit. The good thing is that those smaller items aren't really just for armor, or just for weapons, they can work on both.

As far as Toolbelt addons, what NPC and Rune have explained is correct. You will find Hide and even Ballistic Tiles/Patches that can allow small amounts of added protection when equipped to your belt, regardless of your main helm/armor.

Just be sure to look at the details of an item. If it has any radiation properties (or other ill-effects), this can hurt/kill you if you do not have something equipped to counter-balance it. Similiar to when using Artifacts. Ones that add radiation must be counterbalanced so the radition doesn't harm you.
