X-Ray 1.6 Engine stopped working PLEASE HELP!!! :'(
keeps crashing before it even gets in the game, sometimes im lucky to even get it to the main menu...and then it crashes and says X-Ray 1.6 Engine stopped working...

It's because you downloaded a mod incorrectly. I suggest a fresh install unless you backed-up your game, (To back up Right Click "S.T.A.L.K.E.R Call of Pripyat" then click properties and there should be something saying "Backup Game Files" click that, choose the directory and have fun! :smile:)

either it doesn't work for me or i'm really bad at this ♥♥♥♥... how does i choose directory?

I have done everyones suggestions and it still does not work. Additionally now the first game will not work and it was before

update drivers?
completley remove any trace of stalker COP, even thorugh C:user/YOURUSERNAME/apps/

etc etc.

Also tell us your specs..cant help if we don't know what your running.
Also you didnt tell us if your using mods or not.
Windows 7 or 8?
c'mon man, put some effort in if you want help.

Driver: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680
My driver is updating automaticly so that not it...but i'll try...
well it did this before i downloaded any mods and just crashed all the time...

well...a dumb mistake on my part, i didn't authorize the Driver to update and it might have been the cause, the game is running fine so far :) but if it still is going to happen im gonna get a meltdown...

well it suddenly started doing it again, i've checked the driver this time but its not it... do you have any other ideas of what it might be? any help is appreciated :)

yes..well it is only a bug on the mecanic at the scadovsk, cause it only happened when i took his services...

Some people that have this found out it was a windows update, you'll haave to roll it back. How or which Windows update it was is beyond me though, Sorry :(

it's not a windows update on my pc... which doesn't have that update at all...

i get x ray engine error before the game even starts i have windows 8
