S14 and other 9x39 ammo guns

i dont see what all the fuss is about their not very good in my view starting off with
high recoil (vintar and as val)
not very good at long range even though the vintar is a sniper
not great agenst armor
too expensive
low mag size

all NATO weapons seem much better and effetive even the il86 seems better

also dose any one use the 9x18 pistols like the fort and PB6 and the 9x19 browing hi power

The game guns are just game guns and have no real world reflection, so as game play gose, its gonna be touch and go, some weapon setting look to me more of faveriotizem than any thing else because were certian guns should be better are worst and others that are worst is better.

for example by default the beretta uses a fire distance 200m and a bullet speed of 210ms in COP.

And in CS it uses a fire distance 50m and a bullet speed of 150ms.

But when you look up the real gun its about fire distance 60m and a bullet speed of 360.

So all the weapons are not the same as the real counter part, so it becomes which game gun is the best to use. Some silencer setting bring weapon prefomance way down. I do not understand it, because a supresser is made to supress the gun noise and flash, has nothing to do with the bullet. If your bullet is slowing down, then it is hanging up in the Supressor...

I would like to draw Your attention to the fact that the cartridge 9x39 mm has a large mass and low initial speed of a bullet. this is why the scope of its use assault weapons. that is, the enemy must be struck in any case , even if he has a good armor or he is behind cover. the feature of this cartridge is not only good through action, but also the STOPPING effect of the bullet , which is very important in terms of fighting at short distances , especially in closed and tight spaces. it is based on these requirements we developed the weapon calibre 9x39 instead 5.45 mm. in the game there is no need to CLIMB any objects so most weapons chambered 9x39 not really popular. but it otut does not apply sniper "VINTAR" and "SURF" as for me the PERFECT sniper weapon.

I find the VSS Vintorez and AS Val weapons better than the MP5 for realy, realy close quaters combat when I have to switch out of my LR300. Just they are a bit heavy vs the MP5 as in carrying weight, but over all, better at getting the job done.

i cant use eather for CQB i can use the MP5 with ease but not the Val or VSS

or how about groza that has a BUILT IN GRENADE LAUNCHER

and perhaps you forgot that their bullets have the HIGHEST PENATRATION RATE in the game?

that, coupled with their great firing speed, makes them the best weapons in the game. only reson i don't use them is because i play the misery mod that has even larger calibers such as the 7.56 and even more amazing weapons like the AEK and Galil

the FN2000 has a high ROF and a built in GL and the SVU is can go full auto and supperesd

Oh man.....don't dis. the Vintar. I go everywhere with one. If you look at the post: "Got a favorite weapons combo?" you'll see quite a few differeing points of view and my own trial of guns. Believe me, the Vintar (spec'd up+AP shells) is great once you get used to it......head shots do most things, even Monolith boys....and they're quite tough. Also very quiet to use....attracts little attention whereby you can 'wack' a couple of bad guys (from the back first) before they know you've started on them.

I get what you say about the low mag size but it's not a multi target Mid-close contact weapon.....it's a path clearer.

the FN2000 has a high ROF and a built in GL and the SVU is can go full auto and supperesd

both weapons are very rare in the vanilla versions while you can find groza and vintar from a lot of dead veteran stalkers, especially monolithians

still the tr301 is just as good but the best weapon in game has to be the knife as it can kill with one hit so stalkers and can destroy cars with one hit (if added with mods) and is the best way to kill burers and controllers as they can't knock it out of your hand with the psy attacks, also in SOC you can destroy the APCs infront of the CNPP with one hit

are you useing the knifes secondary attack, it nearly allways kills with one hit, ive even killed one or two exo zombies and stalkers as for the tr301 i find it only starts to jam after 300+ rounds but i never let a gun drop bellow 2 bars of damage

Seriously though, never figured the knife could do so much damage.....never thought to use it ! I remember in the old Doom that the chainsaw seemed to be able to finish most things better than some of the biggest guns ! An APC seems a bit OTT for a knife though (unless the APC was made in China) hence my initial comment. Still, you offer an interesting idea.....do I have the balls to get close and dirty with a Burer, armed only with a knife? .....especially after spending half my time using a silenced sniper rifle.....much prefering to take out the enemy before he sees me.

i allways run into any fight with just a knife out i only use guns when the going gets hard most of the time even when i played misrery i would sell all of my guns and run out with a knife some bandages and 5 medikits and no suit to keep my wait as low as possable so i can run forever also i find knifes are more efective at taking out bloodsukers and Pseudogiants than every thing maybe not the railgun but everything else is easy to beat with a knife
