Try it again. Master difficulty. Or, if you're slightly sadistic, go for Misery 2.1.
1. learn how to use pressing quick save,
2. stop running around the Area like mad, like a wild Mustang on the Prairie.
3. will not run and jump in anomalies for artifacts
4. will cease to attack on zombified stalkers in full growth and shouting " HURRAH!"
5. maybe even learn how to shoot accurately ( usually after REPEATED use of paragraph 1 of this guide))) )
6. understand that even 3-4 blind dog in the pack you can make AGAIN USE the item 1
and finally, if you are very lucky, you will realize that you spent in the game more than 30 hours, and most likely you need a new mouse and even keyboard
But I do not consider that buggy speed run to be measure :)
Well game have multiple endings depending on which faction you join, who you help who not etc...
It took me roughly 17 hours to create save on intersection of three main game choices (they can be done much sooner but not all at the same time unless you know what item to keep beforehand) with all artifacts, all good gear maxed (well no calibration tools) out and all achievements possible without breaking last three choices (informant is nto finished so you can keep you neutral standing with all factions by giving out rest info items to oposite faction making your standing with them good)
Its point in game when you can join Freedom, Duty or Stay neutral to all of them (you need to join Freedom or Duty to have best ending possible)
Well it do not have bandit faction allied (cause their quests sucks anyway and remove major source of income) but they are friendly so you can trade with them and what not :)
Difficulty wise (Master)
Clear Sky (Starting is MUCH easier than in ShoC but ending run is brutal)
Stalker ShoC
Call of Pripyat (Mainly cause you can stay neutral with all factions short of Monolith and can clear up area before final run)
(Stalker aka normal)
Stalker ShoC
Clear Sky (upgrades make it easy in long run, no problem to get two exos with you for final run thanks for OP artifacts :))
Call of Pripyat
Lenght (complete game, all side quests and what not)
Shoc (multiple fake endings, +"secret" true ending)
Clear Sky (only two endings both in same location)
Call of Pripyat (on the other hand most endings possible some requiring to be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ :))
Then again I never tried to see if there were other endings.
You have to understand that the people who really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ enjoy STALKER enjoy it due to the process and not the end. If you beat the game in 6 hours we are all appalled because you didn't play the game we all played. Your experience was entirely a quest driven drive to reach the end.
I can't speak for the others, but when we played STALKER, it may have been a rush to get tools, but other than that it was just exploring and trying something new each day.
I'm a MISERY fan, sorry but SGM I just couldn't stand at all, and I would like to sit down with the dev team to discuss why they felt it was a great idea for a 12ga weapon to do less damage than a 7.56x39mm weapon. But some people here are SGM fans. But SGM definitely does cater more towards people who need to have some sort of quest system to progress through.
But If you beat the game in 6hrs then you never fully appreciated it. You never sat down an perceived the environment and appreciated it. This isn't, of course, something that everyone enjoys and some find it to be a tedious task. But if you know you're not one of those people ten this game was never for you.
