Honestly unless you want a "hardcore" experience you're better off getting CoC and then modding it to your liking imo.
Many people cry over the fact, that this is not Stalker anymore but i like the option for people that they can actually play a Stalker game like they want it to play. They can make it extremely hardcore, they can add trash-mods like diamond pickaxe melee weapon, they can make it like the original vanilla games...
Anomaly is good because it's a stalker game for everyone. In the end it's more sandbox than anything else, but in the end that doesn't matter for people who just wants to explore or do roleplay.
Anomaly is not really a stalker game let alone a stalker game for everyone. Gamma and anomaly are high quality mods but thr point is that theyre a completely different games than the trilogy and if someone says theyre superior stalker games to the trilogy... Then they dont like stalker, they like tarkov. Thank ♥♥♥♥ stalker 2 ended up being faithful to the trilogy. I mean its not like there wont be mods go gammafy it, and thats fine though.
Its true that anomaly is a better base for mods than the trilogy but imo its soulless compared to the originals so whats the point. Id much rather play radiophobia or something like gunslinger for cop
