Clear sky and windows 11 ?

Hello friends, I wanted to play STALKER clear sky, unfortunately the game does not start on my new computer msi, cpu intel 12gen, gpu nvidia rtx 3060 which is under windows 11

works fine on my 12th gen i9 3080ti laptop on windows 11. Didn't have to do anything special other than having to go into the windows settings to specifically tell it to launch the game on the GPU and not the internal (onboard) iGPU.

there are generic instructions which "should" work for any laptop.

there are specific instructions for a certain manufacturer's laptop.

I personnally would go to the laptop manufacturer's support website and see what needs to be done. might have to tweak the BIOS, instructions for newest AMD or Intel motherboards may be different, same for newest AMD or Nvidia graphics cards.

and not all laptops have a dedicated graphics card

Is it only clear sky that doesn't wanna work or all of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R games? Because I am also having the same issue where Clear Sky doesn't wanna run.

I have an "old" intel i7-11700 k and nvidia 3060ti. game works.

perhaps it is an affinity issue with too many cores. try limiting cores:

I bet this is the SSAO/HDAO/HBAO bug with Nvidia GPU, wasn't able to launch the game when i tried it recently, Go in your CS folder and find _appdata_, open the user.ltx and disable it. I didn't remember if it should be HDAO or HBAO (one of theses two make it launch-crash).

4080 here.
