there are specific instructions for a certain manufacturer's laptop.
I personnally would go to the laptop manufacturer's support website and see what needs to be done. might have to tweak the BIOS, instructions for newest AMD or Intel motherboards may be different, same for newest AMD or Nvidia graphics cards.
and not all laptops have a dedicated graphics card
perhaps it is an affinity issue with too many cores. try limiting cores:
