Keep dying whenever I enter lab X8 (Misery)

I'm wearing the ecologist suit but whenever I enter X8 I just suddenly drop dead.

If its the poltergeists killing you, you need to equip good psy protection artifacts or use pills that add psy protection.

If you are under psy attack I think the screen goes sort of purply, blue accompanied by a whinning noise.......then you die !

Get psy protected and move fast to find the poltergeist. A well-placed grenade is the quickest and easiiest way to dispatch it. You will die a lot until you know where it is, so move fast and search each nearby area.

I had the same problem. There was an emission starting when i was hitting the button and i noticed it said i failed hiding from it so i went and hid from the emission and came back to the switch. Didnt die when i pressed it. Hope that was your problem.

That place is hell. I think it contains 2-3 Poltergeists and about 4 Burrers ( 3 in one room) as well as a couple snorks. Go in there loaded to the teeth or you will have a bad time lol. The burers and poltergeists both have aoes that can melt your brain through walls, they both can use telekenesis and throw things at you again through walls. I hate that place lol. Psy-block and a max upgraded sphere helm are recommended.

last year (or was it two?)
After noticing that it basically
devolved the game into an endless grind
of back and forth.
(sigh, i think I'll still download it eventually)
