head bobbing fix and advice please
hello people, new here. Years back I played the Stalker series on disk. Now I have COP on Steam and thought I would give it another go. I have located a couple of game-changing mods - atmosfear and misery. I previously used one but did not like the other ( I am not very brave), so wondered if someone on here might gauge which one is the easier to play. I think the one I did not like had you starting in a shed in the pitchblack of night - but time may have played tricks on me. The other thing I cannot do without is a fix for the headbobbing - I can't play the game without that. I do not seem to have that on my computer anymore. I will go up on Nexus to see if that has any Stalker mods, but of someone could point me to that fix especially I would be grateful.. :) ps where would the .ini file be? - could not find in Documents (on PC)

well.. thank you for your advice, which I am sure you were willing to give, eventually, but no further need. I worked it out for myself. I now have COP Complete in place - that is the mod I was using before, and the head-bobbing is no longer a problem...

_appdata_ in game folder (steamapps\common\Stalker Call of Pripyat)
look for user.ltx file

default cvars
cam_inert 0. cam_slide_inert 0.25

You can also just open the console in game and use: cam_inert 0

It doesn't get rid of the head bob 100% but the problem with doing that is you're now sliding like it's CS S instead of actually " walking " which can be distracting when your character runs at 30 MPH

thank you Mantis.. forgotten how to access console ( if I ever knew) but at present, with the 'Complete' mod installed, the problem seems to have been dealt with :)
