What does it add fam
Pretty much. Misery has it's value to make it good to a degree but it's not realistic at all.
Hopefully if this mod follows in the foot steps of misery it's less grindy. I have pretty much given up on misery as it grows to feel like a waste of time as to operate optimally you have to grind a lot of stuff for cash and supplies or you are forced to limit your game choices that make it get boring quick.
This.
I love reading when people are screaming Misery is "da best!" and "Misery is soooo realistic!"
I just shake my head and move away from the keyboard. Realistic? Ugh. Hard? Yes. For a time. Realistic? Not so much.
Don't get it twisted though. I like Misery. A lot. It takes fortitude and patience and in today's "gaming" market that's something you're not likely to find with the whiny noobs that procreate more whiny noobs. Also, of any game I've played in the 36 years I've been playing them, Stalker and Misery probably have one of the most mature groups of people playing it. Not saying they're all mature, most are though. Very much so. I like that. A lot.
I'm actually not a big fan of magazine loading sims. Or, magazine killing sims. Or, anything remotely attached to holding, killing or reloading said magazines.
Now, if someone actually built and created a mod using this gen's graphical engines, I'd pay money for that. The Stalker games are starting to show their age. Ever so slightly, more and more every year. While I've played each and every game at least 5 times or so, I find myself going longer periods of time without playing them. I've been a die-hard Stalker game since the first appeared on an EB game store shelf back in 07 and have never, ever, regretted the decision to buy that. It started me on a path to appreciate what European devs were doing to a much greater extent and to this day I seek out games that may be "different" in their approach because of the market they're made in.
Now, if S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 ever saw it's day in the sun, I'd probably have a fart/orgasm/exploding ejaculation where I stand. GSC is doing something in its dim new place of business and not a single person except them knows what it is right now. I'm beyond intrigued.
