Hey Stalkers, I got some questions about modding
Hello Stalkers, I'm new to modding and PCs in general and I want to add Call of Chernobyl and Arsenal Overhaul 3.1, also Increased Damage, Basically all of the mods in Raycevick "Modding The Post-Apocalypse" sense I don't know if I can put links here, if anyone has time can you check the video and kinda guide me how to add these mods Pripyat. Everything I've found has been way to confusing and I kinda learn by doing and not seeing, anyway thanks Stalkers

Never mind you can post links

Call of Chernobyl is a standalone mod, so you don't add it to COP. Simply make a folder, name it what you like, and download the COC mod files from modDB, found here:
https://www.moddb.com/mods/call-of-chernobyl

Next, download JSGME. This step isn't vital, but it makes your modding life 10x easier. Drop the contents of this download into your other folder. It will have a folder named "MODS," where you can mod your game.

Run COC once in vanilla to be sure everything works and is set up right, create a vanilla game save, and play until you're actually in game and can move around to ensure it works.

Next, download AO3.1, found here:
https://www.moddb.com/mods/call-of-chernobyl/addons/arsenal-overhaul
The download should contain a folder named "gamedata"
Create another folder in MODS, and drop gamedata into that folder. In other words the final path for your mod files should be Call of Chernobyl/MODS/ArsenalOverhaul3.1/gamedata/[gamefileshere]

Run the JSGME .exe and activate Arsenal Overhaul by moving it from the left menu to the right. There are tons of additional features JSGME offers if you read it a bit.

Run the game again to ensure the mod is working properly. Check if the weapons appear in shops, or if you can get your hands on some, ect.

Next, download the Increased Weapon Damage from here:
https://www.moddb.com/mods/call-of-chernobyl/addons/pavolpi
Follow the same steps you did with AO3.1, make a folder in MODS, and drop the gamedata folder into that one.

Open JSGME and activate Increased weapon damage. It may warn you that files already exist because of AO3.1 being installed. Activate anyway. Make sure you activate AO, THEN Weapon Damage i.e the right menu should show AO at the top of the menu and then below that, Weapon Damage.

Run the game again and enjoy.

As a recommendation, check out Anomaly. It's a much newer version of COC with many, many upgraded features. Also because it's newer, mods are still being made and updated for it.

Could I get any bugs from JSGME?

Not if you use safe download links, such as this one from moddb.

Also I have another question, could I have different folders like one with Misery, one with CoC, one with Anomaly, and activate and deactivate the folders depending on what I want to play? Like having the folder with Anomaly have graphics mods while the folder with CoC just has mods that alters game play

JSGME's files are all that are required to run it, so you can copy paste it to as many different applications as you want. The name is an acronym that stands for "JoneSoft's Generic Mod Enabler" so it's not even limited to Stalker games.

No problem, though I will be leaving to work in about 30 minutes or so, so you may not get an immediate response.

Wait, I drop JSGME Into the same folder where I put CoC in?
Yes. The download should contain JSGME.exe, some ini files, a readme, and an empty folder named "MODS"

You just drop it all into the main game folder.

The way it works is whatever folder is in MODS, it will copy into the main game folder when you activate it. If you deactivate it, it will just remove those copies from the main game. Normally to install mods you'd drop them all into the same folder, but this means that if you get a game crashing bug from conflicts, you have no way to remove just those files that have been overwritten. You have to wipe your whole folder, rather than just deactivate mods until you find the problem one.
