Instaling call of chernobyl

So i have downloaded the mod, unlike my friend i dont have the gog version of the stalker and i dont have the disc that i have to put in, when installer is telling me to. Is there any way to go around this, without creating the virtual discs by programs like deamontools, or do i have to do it through it?

I own call of chernobyl, but on steam, i have problem only with instalation process.

You don't install the mod to the call of pripyat folder. It is a standalone mod.

Install the mod somewhere else, create a shortcut & away you go.

I have CoP on Steam and I had no issue in installing CoC.

The latest version of CoC simply needs to be unzipped/unpacked and you're good to go. All that is needed is 7Zip or Winwar.

Do I REALLY need to have CoP installed? When I unpacked the mod, I didn't get any sort of notification that it checked if I had CoP installed. Does it really check to see if you own it?

Sorry for the late reply. I forget to subscribe to discussions and such.

According to some other posts, they say it is required to have CoP installed, and I think they're right. I had to reinstall CoP and when I did, all my old saves for CoC got messed up.
