hows the multiplayer in this series?

I been eye-ballin this game for a long time, somehow the s.t.a.l.k.e.r. series flew under my radar.
what exactly do you do online with this game? I always though it was a single player game.

It has it but I'm not sure it was played much even when new. Expecting the game to have any kind of multiplayer presence at this point is dubious at best. I've played the game for over 200 hours myself and I'm barely even aware there is a multiplayer mode, for what that's worth.

All the Stalker games are very much so singleplayer titles.

I would not have even thought about it, however it shows 300+ people in game.
so I Didnt know if there was some kind of death match or some mode going on

iirc the multiplayer is beareable.
However, Modding is where the game-community shines.
Right now a Dev Team is making a stand alone or mod for stalker that is muliplayer PVP/PVE

The mod community for the stalker games is immense, very professional and very entertaining.
Mods for difficulty and damage scaling,quests, weapon handling, tons of extra weapons and outfits, visual and audiovisual mods, total conversion etcetera etcetera

The single player experience is very immersive and good. truly a great work of art.
after that, the plethora of mods ensure thousands of hours of varied gameplay.

Oh and play on Master difficulty, that is actually the normal/hard difficulty

Buy the game! :)

That's the real beautiful part, i watched the documentary and OMG these ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ were smart! They didnt create a game just for a player to go from A to B then shelve it. They wanted stalker to be a game where players would actually want to live in that world and so far the Russian modders *im assuming all of them are * do a great job at furthering that especially with outfits,weapons, and visual. Honestly I been playing stalker for a long time and with the mods i think im not gonna be quiting for a long time. i can see myself wanting to go to chernobyl and serving the duty faction (prob have to earn alot of respect from them cuz im western). Come and get Freedomers.

Multiplayer is basicly dead, we play these games with mods these days in single player.

like right now I'm playing STALKERSOUP its my most favorite cause it basicly combines all the maps of all the games + adds new ones. like 53 total maps
