For example getting 200,000 RU and obtaining the Weathly Client updates traders inventories to the next tier.
I think the only way to get a Seva Suit in stalk misery is by completing every single scientist mission including the veles detectors for Owl.
These are the only things that seemed to lock the next tier equipment. Owls Stock inventory can potentially have end game weapons even at the start but its super rare. You would have to save scum over and over till he has the weapon you want.
So my advice is to save up 200,000 RU and get the wealthy client achievement which then seems to effect traders inventories.
I've got past the 200k mark so I think TAZ alters how the traders inventory increase because the main ones never seem to improve. I managed to get them selling Vog-25s and M203s after completing enough missions on Zaton and Yaonv but they only sell 1 of each at a time which makes it a pain to stock up.
The way TAZ has changed how the enemy react to me is incredible and I notice how the smoke discharge from their weapons can create a kind of vapour trail when they are firing and advancing and they advance a lot. Before TAZ I could stand behind the large metal shed at the Waste Plant near the truck and coax bandits towards me which they would do one or two at a time making it easy pickings. Now with TAZ installed they will rush towards me en masse so before I know it I have 5 bandits surrounding me. I've had to use the life saving survival kits and sprint away to safety on many occasions since installing TAZ. It makes me wonder how difficult it could become later in the game especially the Pripyat missions.
I want to give it a try might install it soon looks good.
You can learn some interesting things about the achievments in your PDA if you look under the stats tab. For example most achievements increase your reputation and it says " other stalkers know of your deeds" etc.
If you kill a bunch of bandits you get some achievement that actually tells you if you mouse over it "You are no friends of bandits and random merc squads will come for you when you least expect it"
Or if you get the friend of Duty achievement "You have shown loyalty to duty and freedom members will treat you as such"
The Wealth Achievements actually says something like " You have built considerable wealth and the traders will offer you better goods"
So maybe they removed the affects of these achievements in TAZ im not sure but they have a moderate impact on each playthrough.
Have you had any issues with stability using TAZ compared to your experience without it ?
Anyways ive read alot about TAZ and you maybe just have to experiment with some new calibers and ammo. The penetration and walling effect intrigues me. Not so much if the AI can do it however considering they sometimes mag dump at walls pointing at you because they get glitched out lol.
TAZ is definitely something that needs a pen and paper and a lot of experimenting. If only there was a mod that gives you an ingame journal that you can add your own notes to. Because of all the weapons there are also vast amounts of ammo with different effects.
I've not been to the Jupiter plant yet and I already have a fully upgraded exo and two high power weapons so am feeling a bit overpowered. I think I'm going to activate the spawn menu if there is one and play around with the ammo I have against spawned mutants and armoured NPCs so I can start making a list of rounds that are worth keeping and what I should sell straight away to keep the backpack down. Then start a new game. The icons of the ammo is a bit blurry in the inventory screen which can make it hard to work them out but that's only a minor criticism. Eventually my memory will get used to them.
I was hoping for some new explosives but there isn't any. It retains the IEDs, powder cans, mines and grenades but I wanted something a lot more meaty.
Also in your last reply you mention you had a fully upgraded exo and high tier weapons how did you manage that?
Thanks.
