Psy Emissions Controller In Misery
I have started the Psi Emissions mission and I usually have no problem with this mission when I can pick up a RPG-7u from the Volkhov complex but as that's been removed in Misery what is the best way to take on the controller? I know I should just do it and see what works for myself but am interested in different ways of killing the controller quickly so the squad survive. I've tried explosives before but they can end up killing members of the squad if they are near the entrance so want something more targeted and powerful.

You need to rush back as soon as you hear him spawn because he will start controlling your team members and after about 5-10 seconds they will turn on you and kill you. So as soon as you hear your squad start panicking, rush out and aim at the sideways train car because he will becoming through there from the entrance of the tunnel.

He can be dropped with 2+ head shots with higher caliber high flesh damage ammunition. Sniper rifles or a strong battle rifle with high caliber like a FAL are best for dealing with them. You can also try placing a mine with a ied ontop of it where he spawns because that might also work XD.

It is possible to rush out, tap him in the head and save your whole squad before they are controlled. Night vision works pretty good for this tunnel too.
As soon as you walk out of the door after taking the insulator, wait with NV on and aim at the small alcove across from the tunnel. He will literally walk into that alcove right in front of your crosshairs while the team is head bobbing like bobbleheads and stand there for a second begging you to cap him before taking anyone over, and like Heresy said, two headshots and he's done. I smoked him with Strelok's gun and the team snapped out of it, and back home. Just another day.

Thanks both for the advice and it worked with the SVD through the bars which made it more difficult for it to see me. It took a few tries but I managed to take care of the controller with a head shot. While I was in Yanov I went to Stingray 1 at the Helepads and as I was approaching I was spotted by some bandits who then followed me through the minefield. I had to reload a few times and ended up having to hide behind a wooden crate until they walked off. I didn't think to trigger the mutant invasion while they were still there as that would have been interesting. I've also seen cats and bloodsuckers entering the Waste Plant and attacking bandits so it looks like the smart terrains are different in Misery and enemies can travel further on the map rather than getting to an invisible boundary. Love how unpredictable it is and how you always have to look over your shoulder. The enemy NPCs are tough but I've faced enough Alpha squads in the SGM mod to be able to handle them. If something isn't working and I keep dying there is usually another way to approach it.

Yeah it has fairly dynamic spawns and patrols. Ive seen anywhere from silence to all hell let loose at that other ship next to the skadovks. Sometimes there will be nothing there, other times it can be a multi faction and mutant chaotic battle. 2 bandit squads fighting a freedom and duty squad who are also fighting eachother, with some nuetral stalkers also killing bandits. All while a Chimaera is jumping around like a chicken in the center of the chaos ripping peoples heads off lol.
