You could try asking around here. This Discord has a lot of modders in it, and they know about almost every single mod.
>Absolute Nature:
Call of Pripyat is probably the ugliest of all 3 games when it comes to nature. Absolute Nature is a MUST for any playthrough.

Also, you should get this. It reverts the starting location of new games to vanilla. In Absolute Nature, you spawn next to a sawmill filled with zombies.

>S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Two-K:
High quality textures, gives textures a more rusty look (nothing too different from vanilla).
OR (ONLY PICK ONE OUT OF ABSOLUTE STRUCTURES OR TWO-K)
>Absolute Structures:
Higher quality vanilla structure textures. Kind of outdated, but more compatible than Two-K.

>AtmosFear 3:
better weather, but the skyboxes can lag bad computers. Also has configurable weather.

>Original Weapons Renewal 3:
OWR3 makes weapons look, sound, and behave better. There's also a OWR for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl. It may change weapon configs, but if it does, it won't be anything ruining the "vanilla experience".

>Original Guns Reanimated:
Re-animates weapons, that's it.

>S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Re-Animation Project 2:
Re-animates weapons, that's it (once again).

>Phobos: Artefacts Reloaded Mod:
Better looking Artifacts. Makes them stand out more and appear more intriguing.

>Massive Simulation Overhaul:
Makes the AI smarter, and creates more interesting encounters. I've had issues with this when using multiple mods, so don't get your hopes up. Still worth a try, as it's an interesting mod. It's made by one of the smartest AI modders in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

>CoP Variation Mod:
Adds more variety to NPCs in-game. It creates tons of new outfit/helmet combinations.
