Shotgun delay in fireing and shooting more then it should.
Ive noticed that the pump shotgun will shoot 1 extra time then I wanted it to, and the reload is longer then the animation, anybody know why?

If you click mutliple times then it registers them as shots. Say you click twice while pumping in a new shell, your character will shoot the gun twice more after the reload delay. Same bs happens with bolt action rifles.

Prime example of poor programming.

Maybe but this may be an easy fix, after all the game shouldn't be reading inputs that come in faster than the default fire rate on the weapon itself. That's the reason automatics and semi automatics don't have this issue. I'm getting the impression the pump action's fire rate is higher than it's supposed to be, but since the animation is still tied to the rate it's supposed to be at, it accepts the inputs and queues them, rather than denying them due to the fire rate and dropping the input.
The only reason i double click is because im used to games like Red Orchestra where you have to physically click "fire" button (LMB) once to shoot and once to rack a shotgun or work a bolt to load the next round.

A good way to avoid this annoyance is to just pull the trigger once. I think its sort of a lame glitch but it can be worked around.

On the other hand, semi autos including battles rifles and pistols, assualt rifles on auto or semi all have perfect input and click registry. It is only the weapons with delayed actions that have this problem.

Another simple solution for you if you like shotguns is to find a semi automatic one that requires no manual action.
