MODDING: Which file represents which anomaly?
Vanilla modding question... Is there a list somewhere that tells me which file represents which anomaly? For all anomalies in each area?

Example location and files...
\Extracted\configs\scripts\zaton\anomaly\
zat_b54_anomal_zone.ltx
zat_b56_anomal_zone.ltx
zat_b100_anomal_zone.ltx

The map\anomaly files dictate the distribution of anomalies in a specific area.
I think the files that detail the characteristics of each anomaly type should be in config\misc

These files appear to contain the information for the make up of anomalous areas and the artifact spawn parameters in these areas.

The file names look to me that they correspond to a map location. Is there a list that details these areas on the maps for Zaton, Jupiter and Pripyat?

They're names of smart terrains and there's a folder containing all of them for each map. It should be something like:

Stalker > Gamedata > configs > Scripts > Zaton > Smart. I just checked and the files for zat_b54, zat_b56 and zat_b100 are there.

There is also the Alundiao Debug tool which is perfect if you are working with smart terrains because it has a toggle to turn them on and off with the map view and has a good readme.

I want to experiment with artifact spawns. If I wanted to modify the spawn, for example, at the "Scar" or "Ash Heap" anomalies, Where would I look to do that?

zat_b54 is the smart terrain at the scar anomaly so try editing the zat_b54_anomal_zone.ltx file.

You can try changing the types of artifacts that spawn and maximum count. I've not tried it myself but I don't see why it wouldn't work.

[anomal_zone]
layers_count = 1
respawn_tries = 2
max_artefacts = 2
;applying_force_xz = 200
applying_force_y = 200
artefacts = af_electra_sparkler, af_zelonka, af_electra_moonlight, af_dummy_battery, af_dummy_dummy, af_ice
start_artefact = af_izumrud
coeff = 3, 3, 2, 2, 1, 1
artefact_ways = zat_b54_af_way

Thanks for your help. It looks like I was in the right place for editing artifact parameters. I just don't know which spawn points I am editing.

So now, I am back to my original question... How would I find out that zat-b54 represents the Scar anomaly or which other smart file represents which anomalous zone or map location? I've looked at the guides but I couldn't find that info. Either I am blind, or it's buried under a mound of TMI if it is there at all.

I can't remember what the difference between red and green is and it's not really relevant for editing the anomalies but I'm 99% sure that the red smart terrains have fixed spawns so if you try to use the debug menu to spawn something at that smart terrain it will always cause a CTD. The only way is to edit the smart terrain file itself. Like I said that's only relevant if you start spawning items/NPCs/Mutants because you always have to specify the name of a smart terrain to spawn them to.

The green smart terrains can spawn anything you like using the debug menu and I used to use zat_sim_22 a lot because that is the smart terrain that is half way between the Skadosvk and the Dredger. Spawn a few squads of Monolith veterans and then go out for target practice.

Thanks. Just what I was looking for.
