Is it possible to change Absolute Nature's graphics from high to normal without game reset?
I am new to the Stalker series and installed the Arsenal overhaul mod for Pripyat, including atmosfear and absolute nature. However I am getting a lot of lag and bad stuttering, and I was wondering if there is a way to change the Natures settings without having to start a new game. I tried changing ingame graphic settings, but it doesnt seem to help much. Any help is appreciated!

You can manually replace the hi res textures with the low res versions. The low res versions are in folder "512" and the hi res are in "1024"
Other than changing/disabling weather events, there's not a whole lot you can do performance wise with the Nature mod (that I've noticed).
Maybe someone else can chime in.

What graphics settings have you tried changing so far?

It might also be the Nature mod that's giving you the problems. Those extra trees are a HUGE performance drain on my system. I opted for 'Abs. Nature 3 Lite' instead.

So far I have changed the texture settings from high to low, grass quality, and made some changes in the advanced settings. Thanks for the reply btw, i'll try to replace the textures.

Those hi res textures make this 10 year old game look new. Once you go hi res you can’t go back IMHO.

I can. The load times are horrendous, even with a fast SSD and plenty of RAM.
And then I look at how much RAM it actually uses, and it isn't very much at all. So I don't know what's going on there - perhaps the engine has problems loading things quickly.
