What, for Vanilla?

Lazy google searching turned up this one. Though I feel yah on looking for tweaks or fixes meant for Vanilla rather than some other mod.

https://www.nexusmods.com/stalkercallofpripyat/mods/206/?

Should do the job for Vanilla. remember to set gamedata to true as usual for mods.

It's one of those "In theory, it's an easy tweak." sort of mods but it's a pain in the ass looking up an extractor and leaving a pile of uncompressed gamedata files around unless you're going to try to be doing some serious modding yourself.

The relevant line in the edited files is

buy_item_condition_factor = 0.0

With the number being the condition liimt. So you can always bump it to 50 later if you just wanted less squinting at the bars of your guns to cut down on the "sorry, this was 68.9% durability, not 70!" annoyances rather than sell literally everything.

Handy. Keep in mind that stuff WILL be worth less than you expect when it's busted to hell and back. But pocket change for a backpack full of handguns and the stray AK really adds up when you just want to get out of the poor rookie phase faster, and buffer your repair costs for using the fun stuff earlier.

I do admittedly try to tweak it to something like 59% (down from default 70) to cut down on my embarrasing tendency to bring guns that are almost, but not quite, in good enough state to sell.

Not out of any "Hurf durf look at this guy with sell all". But because Zero durability sales makes me go way too overboard hoarder and I already have a problem with that as it is umodded. "I need ALL of these Fora-12 pisols! Monoltih wouldn't be using them if they weren't good!"

Speaking of cash that adds up. In Vanilla, selling off your hand surplus grenades is actually a good source of reasonable cash. Particuarly the RGD-5 grenades which (when you use them) have the strength of a wet fart anyways sold to your fellow stalkers while they have the cash for it.

Yes I know they will kill the ♥♥♥♥ out of you when enemies use them. That's video games for yah. I still try to carry an F1 or two because hurling a grenade through a doorway at psychic mutants still has it's place in softening things up.

Don't the traders in Shadow buy weapons that need repair (for a reduced price of course)? It's been a long time since I played SOC, but I seem to remember making good money from weapons I picked up (loot).

Well he's talking about CoP, and I even linked a CoP mod which they said worked. Unless CoP mods have worked on SoC this whole time, which would be a real game changer.

That said. Vanilla SoC, you CANT repair weapons in the first place. You need mods to enable repairs in the first game.

So while I trust your hazy memory for selling off much more damaged equipment in SoC, well, that's SoC. Whether or not you're playing vanilla or modded.
