There are three kinds of dev responses about class balance RE: sniper.
A: "I only play sniper" is a common phrase you will see their PR rep say
B: "Classes are not balanced, Sniper is easier"
C: Or, if it makes them look better to disagree. "Clases are balanced you just need to gut gud" which flies in the face of the two previous frequent responses.
All that said? I can only imagine how garbage the Assaulter start was in past versions if you think things are improved. Scout and Sniper get decent guns with attachments on top. Assault gets no attachments, and rusty "Corroded" gun.
On top of the counteruititive contrast of the most athletic hardened soldier, being the biggest wuss when it comes to picky eating and radiation. The worst at using first aid kits. Having apparently skipped gas mask training. etc.
I do see people talk up Assaulter, but generally they are talking from a safe space of "Now that I've got late game armor and proper guns, NOW Assaulter is good!" ringing hollow stuff. Up to and including people bragging that once you get an Exo-Suit, Assaulter is great. The Zone must do something to people's self awareness.
Just what in particular are you finding better about Assaulter? The class itself that is, Beyond "Well they have a higher default carry capacity!" which is often rendered a moot point by their drawbacks.
