How To Travel South ?
I am losing my mind - I just cannot seem to find my way south from the north end of the map. Everywhere I go there is a fence, a wall, a building, or an invisible barrier. Argghhhhh. I try to to follow roads and logical topical graphical features, but I just can't seem to get to any new zones.

Any advice? I did look online for a map that included travel points between zones with no luck. I don't remember having this much trouble travelling north. I should mention it has been awhile since I have played.

Thanks for any help.

But noone will blame you for using the wish granter cause not putting walkable transitions between maps was a d.ick move by the devs compared to the previous games where transitions were present

The other games also had a very large amount of small maps, whereas CoP has 3 very large maps.

Using the NPC travel option is really not that hard.

Ye. Anomalies are always moving. You need a guide who can spot them IC.

This. Keep in mind that unlike the other games in the series, lore-wise, the areas in CoP are all relatively newly accessible, which is why there isn't really heavy faction presence in the maps in CoP. As a result, the safe routes and general hazards are not anywhere near as well known, and the people who can navigate it safely, the guides, would be fools to just give people the routes. They'd be removing their own job by doing so.

Thank you for the reminder on the guide mechanic. I sure can't remember how, when, or if I used to a guide to get where I am now. I guess that becomes a problem when I don't play for stretches at a time.

All of my objectives are south of me at this time. I guess I will just scour the map for a guide. Any suggestions of where I might find on to get me started?

A guy in the skadovsk named Pilot. In vanilla he charges 3k rubles to go to Yanov.

It's discounted a bit more if you find a certain helicopter I think.

Misery mod allows you to travel on your own, if that helps. Or take a guide for the safety advantage. But he charges a whole helluva lot.

Eh, it's 6k with the discount. Not too expensive.

still expensive, but not horribly. It's affordable, honestly what would be interesting is perhaps some kind of effort that has to be made to get through, not really sure how to go about it.
