Unfortunately we could not get a release for GOG ready because it required rigging the networking into their API. We haven't had a chance to look at it, but may once the game stabilizes after launch.

Any chance for a Switch version down the line? I'll be picking it up today regardless.

While we are at it PS4 version please?

rogue legacy was singleplayer game...

It could be really nice if there was ability to play via LAN without any third party APIs. So - gog could get this game without issues.
Anyway - here is my +1 and bump

There is a lot of multiplayer games on GoG : local but also online, including direct tcp connection...
This question is purely about editor's will.

It's not an issue of whether GOG can support online functionality or not. 100% they can. Iktomi is correct, it's just an issue of whether we want to devote the resources to creating a GOG build or not. We have other things we're focusing on right now, so there are no current plans to make a GOG release, but we love GOG so we're not ruling it out for the future.

thanks for describing situation. I think, for most people who ask for GoG, the deal is not "hey bruddha, we wanna another api support". People just want drm-free version of your game (its may be obvious, but just to be clear). Some could even buy it without online functionality, I think.

A few. Almost nobody in fact, as people tends to refuse to pay for some "unfinished / cut off" product, even with a price reduction.
There have been some troubles about that, last ones I witnessed myself were Gremlin inc and Tooth and Tail.

dunno. Personally, I dont care about online functionality - I wont use it anyway. But I see your point

It's less a point than some common fact. For a lot of games I don't care about online neither, but I'm not everybody, and devs have (most of the times) to follow the biggest group if they don't wanna bankrupt.

if all devs will follow only biggest groups - then pc gaming wont exist
iktomi sakala Apr 7, 2018 @ 6:30am
That's what do all the biggest groups, and they still are fine, so far... (EA, Blizzard, Ubisoft, Valve...)
I don't see why pc gaming would not exist if all devs would follow only the biggest groups (thing I didn't said)

PS : I'm for a litteral explosion of big gaming trusts and majors. I'm for the disparition of all intermediates (non creative) leechers. I'm for creators independance. (just in case my stade wasn't clear)

Gog = Cracked version, and all of you know this.
That why you want it on Gog, if you can speak here, its because you have steam, so buy it on steam...
