When you play in Co-op you usually hang in the back and dish out damage. If you are playing Single Player then you use sniper when the enemy is far away to dish damage then switch back to your main hero.
Don't forget to set your mine whenever you have a spare moment too. It's a great way to get rid of enemies who get too close, and levelling up its mastery will grant you permanent buffs with all characters.
She's a bit tough to solo with, but her damage output is crazy, especially if you have one or more other players drawing aggro. You'll want to put most of your upgrades into melee damage seeing as the others aren't nearly as useful and you'll mainly be using your primary shot.
