1st car driver thinks she's driving car 2

After my 1st car driver Samuel Blanc decided, he's actually a musician, I replaced him with Brigitte Gaubert.

Fist I hired her as 1st car driver and on the sign screen I replaced my reserve driver, so she was my reserve driver.

Then I switched her in for Samuel Blanc, who became reserve.

Now Brigitte thinks she's always in car 2:

1. Brigitte is angry at me for giving her a worse car than Brigitte :D

2. If I tell to drive car 1 in practice she appears in car 2.

I have this exact problem too, no mods, nothing, this is my 3rd season and I just got new drivers, in the first race, black sea, I cannot select both drivers, I mean, I can, but only 1 appears.

Im playing "create new team" type game. This is frustrating...

Just happened to me aswell. First race in season 3, No. 1 driver angry his car is worse than...his own car; if I select both drivers for practice, only No. 1 driver is shown, and on the track he is driving both cars. CYOT with FIRE mod, beta patch.

Hey. I got the same problem. Even though the moral of the drivers is not the most important aspect of the game, it is still very disturbing to have those errors. I will take a look at the FIRE mod LemanDV talked about... But a fix in an official patch would be great...

I think this bug has something to do with how the game links the drivers to the cars (Car 1/2 to Driver 1/2).
You can see this bug even on vanilla S1R1: for practice, choose your reserve and he goes to car 1, then choose your Driver 1 (the left driver). With both selected, the reserve driver is in car 1 and car 2 is empty. If you select your driver 1 before the reserve driver, the latter goes to car 2 as he should.

With my save this happened with my main drivers, same as OP but with car 2 empty. All the other bugs OP mentioned are the same.
I got a fix around that by dancing chairs between my drivers (I had to hire a reserve driver to test it, was going with a generic replacement to save money; good thing I found a 1.5 star pay driver, I actually get +50k/race now).
I switched the position of my main drivers by swapping them with the reserve. Took the morale hit, but now the parts fitted comparison and the driver selection for practice are working correctly.

Same here. My 2nd driver is comparing her car to her car and when I fit a part to her car on the Fit Parts screen, there is no change in the list of parts and in performance stats on the right. There are however visible changes in reliability stats. On the other hand, when I fit a part in the 1st car, the screen shows that I fitted it in both cars. Fortunately, I don't have these issues on the track. It seems that both my drivers drive their own bolids (I see differences in parts' reliability during race).

I have similar problems. My no 1 driver is Ellie Nightingale and No 2 is Cyril Boussieu. I give Ellie (in car 1) the best parts and Cyril (in car 2) the 2nd best. Ellie complains that I'm giving Cyril a better car (even though she's got the best parts!) and Cyril is happy that I'm giving him a better car than Cyril (even though he IS Cyril)! When picking drivers and cars for practice, etc, it'll show Ellie in car 1 and nobody in car 2 after I've chosen both of them as drivers for the session, but when I enter the session, Cyril will be in car 2. I also get no radio messages from Cyril telling me how the setup is, although I do get messages from Ellie. I also get no radio messages if I throw my reserve driver in car 2.

Same problem. 1st driver thinks the 2nd car is hers. Can't get her drive car 1 in practice, it puts her in car 2. Had to put reserve into car 1.

Switching positions (cars) through reserve driver didn't help, driver in car 1 (now different driver) thinks car 2 is hers

I cannot select my second main driver and only put the reserve in car two. When I leave one main then they appear in both cars. In practice the drivers (one main and the reserve) appear in the wrong car but in the race the drivers appear in there own cars correctly. I thought for a while that one of my drivers was arrested and in jail. Then I still have the .199% improvment from time to time without cause. I also seem to have a diffference in the level numbers and star profiles.

fully rotation of driver seats did the workaround on my side

Procedure as follows:

Make reserve driver driver 1
Make reserve driver (formerly driver 1) driver 2
Make reserve driver (now fomerly driver 2) driiver 1

Result
driver 1 is formerly driver 2
driver 2 is formerly driver 1
reserve driver is reserve driver again

don' t forget to switch mechanics to keep bonuses

All worked properly afterwards

btw: Im am a little bit annoyed that this bug still exists about 2 months , did a carerr restart after 5 seasons when this did happen the first time to myself

add on : if you still have problems with drivers seats in training sessions you may need to hire a new reserve driver (after above mentioned procedure)

Problem still exists...

The Switcheroo didn't work for me. Kind of... My first driver (Claire Talley) who was in car #1, complained that the car of 'Claire Talley' is so much better then hers (-10 moral). After the Switch (as described many times above) she is now sitting in car #2 and still complains, that the other car is better (-10 moral) - now with the correct name of the other driver - Talley has the better one. Checked the part-stats multiple times. Predicted position looks correct, but somehow the driver sucks in the races. Without mechanical problems or crashes I can't remember that any driver placed worse then the prediction... Now 4times in a row... Wierd thing: It looks like the other driver gets the moral-debuff after the races ^^

Dont really know, how i can fix this. Hopefully my savegame is not currupted. (Own Team, 1st league, saison 10, no mods)

Experiencing this bug as well. The situation has extended into the next season. I'd sign new drivers but I've got a good set of pay drivers.

Guess this is dead. Since the last "update" in November, no more news from the devs. Or the game is done and stay like this and devs do not get a fix, or they are more concerned in the next dlc with more bugs. If I had bought this game now, I would ask for a return. It has been months that I left playing the game because of this. I do not want to dance around with drivers, I want the game to work as it should be.

Guess making money with dlc's is more important then mantaining a fan base.
