Game will not start on Windows 10

Hi,
I recently bought a brand new Dell PC for work and would like to play MM on it now and then. However the game will not start on Windows 10. I just get a black screen, no sound, and then "MM.exe as stopped working"
I've verified the cache, reinstalled, tried disabling anti-virus, run as administrator, in windows 8 compatibility mode, nothing works. In windows 8 mode I do see the splash screen but then it crashes.
Any advice on how to get it working?

I did the following grabbed from this thread:

"I dropped my machine resolution down to lower setting to get to run, then in the game swapped the resolution down and back to 1920*1080, quit the game, put machine resolution back to 1920*1080. When I tried the game the next time it worked properly with full resolution."

And it worked. Game crashed on the first startup when doing the actual changing of resolution and now it just works....... wierd, but huzzah!
