Game crash back to Windows
Hi there, I'm experiencing random game crashes, usually when being busy in a racing weekend. So all in a sudden the game goes (usually) from the Practise/Qualifying/Race screen back to Windows 7 (64 Bit). The game stays in the background and I can still hear the ingame click sounds, however I cannot get back into the game and need to close it by using the task manager which is quite annoying since e.g. all the setup made during qualification is gone and I need to restart.

My system has an Intel 6700K, 16GB RAM, Asus Maximus VIII Ranger and is running with a GeForce 670 which I'll replace within the next weeks. Drivers are all up to date. All in all I should meet the system requirements. I noticed that this error didn't occur in earlier versions of the game.
Any ideas?

This is indicative of a windows issues with software taking "focus" away from the app thats running. Its a known issue of firewall and av software with pop up reporting.

Thanks AoD_Iexandro. I checked but keep on having this problem. The game goes back to Windows but continues running in the background, I can hear the music and sound effects, also the mouse symbol doesn't change. On top of that, I can also click on the (invisible) ingame buttons and get the sound feedback of "changing ingame screens". Unfortunately it is not possible to get the game's screen back, so I need to close it by using the task manager.

When the problem occurs, there is no popup message or window at all on my system. Any ideas what might trigger this thing to happen and how to prevent it?

Mine simply freezes my entire system. I have to remove the battery to shut down. Twice now. This game is physically harming my laptop. Until they stabilize it, I'm not playing it anymore.

If your system freezes and requires a hard reboot, you have a system problem outwith the game. If your not tech savvy with a laptop, take it to a qualified repair outlet.

As far as stability, Ive had 5 ctd's in 900hrs of play. 4 of which where while using mods, and the last was a corrupted file with the DLC.

Joining in the conversation here. I have had couple of freezes & crash of MM.

I had to do a hard reboot one time when the game froze completely. Frozen screen had like red horizontal lines all over the screen.

Crash in other hand was somewhat different case. MM was sort of running still in the background, but i couldn't switch back to it anyway. I had to close MM from task manager.

I also noticed before the freeze&crash, that when i moved the mouse pointer on bottom of the screen it slowed down the game (movies playing in background started to play slower)

Also small graphical glitches started to appear when i was moving my mouse pointer on bottom of the screen.

Those have been my experiences, and don't quite know what the problem is. Lately MM has been running quite smoothly though, but i'm afraid those issues might appear again. I hope not though.

I'm a bit concerned, that if my GPU is about to die, but i'm not 100% sure. Need to investigate some more. I just had one of my GPU's die on me not so long ago, and the one im using now is same brand and model.

That is exactly what I am experiencing. I do not believe this to be an issue of a broken GPU as mine would then be broken, too. And I do not have a problem like this with other games (including ones such as GTA V or Battlefield 1, which might not be on the same level as Motorsport Manager in terms of graphics).

constant crashes since last patch given up for now

Just happened again. I am close to giving up, too, as I am fed up of constantly restarting the game and losing progress.
Any comment by the developers?

Just got a brand new laptop with a GTX 1070 graphics card and now experiencing the same as above. It worked perfectly with my old laptop running an AMD Radeon HD 8850 so I am wondering if it's a graphic card issue, as in a problem with Nvidia drivers against AMD. What makes of graphics card is everyone running?
