Are there any recommended Mod, which would improve the experience with the game? Or should I play Vanilla first, before trying out mods?

I play with a few from Nexus. One that I really like is called Auto Setup. It sets your car for the race weekend based on the skill of your mechanics and your drivers feedback. As a player, you can always tweak your car to get that 100% setup, which may be unrealistic if you have ♥♥♥♥ drivers and ♥♥♥♥ mechanics. This mod applies it to both the player and computer players.

I actually started using the Fire Fantasy 21 mod. Having Formula 1,2,3 and real drivernames really improves the game by a lot.

The F1 Manager 2021 mod by eddiemarkwick is my personnal favorite but the Fire Fantasy 21 mod is also pretty good. I think playing with a mod is much more fun and interesting.

If you have played both, can you tell me the diffrences of those two and which one is better? On paper, both of them seems to add similar things.

In Fire Fantasy I am not too sure as i have not played it a lot so maybe someone else can explain. I just know that the potential system with fire fantasy is very different. The rating of the drivers depend on their performance while F1 Manager 2021 keeps the same system as the vanilla game. I prefer it that way which is the main reason why i use F1 2021.

Here's the manual for the FF21 Mod. You can find out about all changes.

I wouldn't recommend FF21 for beginners or anyone trying to get a 'vanilla + real-world drivers + teams' experience. The changes to how new vehicle stats are derived make it much harder to progress.

Thank you but I already read it. I am using the mod since I bought the game.

I don´t know if it is harder or not but after I finished 4th in my first season I am in my second season with Ford in Formula 3 and I will probably win the championship. The only downsize I see is, that I don´t know how Vanilla-Gameplay works, but if you compare FF21 with Vanilla, Vanilla is really lacklustre.

I'm waiting to upgrade from FF20 to FF21 until the real F1 season begins. Meanwhile, I have a career going with Red Bull in FF20. I'll tell you if you play using the settings prescribed in the manual, it is tough. But it is so immersive. Tough to put down. Ask my wife lol.
