Starting team
Hey all, I played for a while with Dragon China and they suck. They're factory is ok but car is awful, and is awful after season 1,2,3... even tho I invested alot in new car livery. So it blows forever, had to recruit 2 drivers both mechs and designer and my finances collapsed. Any tips on starting (lowest lvl) team, what driver attributes are most important, what driver to recruit, same for designers and racing mechs and what to build and when. So far I couldn't find out what salary or bonus is too much until I failed and bankrupt when promoted.

Playing Dragon racing myself. Stugglen few season, took first set of victories on season 5. I knew this, but it was a longterm decision to raise from bottom to glory.

Investing good driver at start ain't worth it. They cost too much money, and when your car is horribly, they won't deliver. First couple of seasons focus on economy and few items alone. Don't spread development around too many parts =>. Try to manipulate rules so more standard parts are used (only those you develop are used). Currently in my game only Gearbox and Engine are team designs, rest are locked. My knowledge for those 2 parts is lvl 3.

I won 3 races with China Dragon in my first season. Changed one driver and the chief engineer and built many parts for my cars and improved them.

i started off with eastwood and got some young talented drivers called zak hamilton (no joke), and boisseu (or something like that), and they were pushing my crappy car to the limit so i ended up second in first season. struggling in asia now.

Isn't eastwood one of the best cars in T3 at start?

Drivers: Early on it's pay-drivers (the one you have + e.g. Miia Lahtinen), that attribute is more important than anything else in a driver for the first 2-3 seasons. A test driver only makes sense if you find a third pay-driver to give him practice time.

Staff: As young as possible, low starting abilities (to keep the wage low), lot's of potential, maximum length contract.

When your chairman asks you for your goal of the year, go safe. Overachieving doesn't only affect his happiness, but also driver's morale and sponsor attractiveness (not absolutely sure, but feeling very sure), so having the goal to low is better than having it to high.

Dilemma's: Money is long term allways better than any morale, as morale-effects just don't last.

yeah, economics and hq wise. but dont worry, as soon you get promoted you get effed over and over. took me 3 seasons to get the team build up and not getting into the red financially and without getting dumped
