How important is a good driver.
Seriously, in the game, changing a driver cost quite a lot, we can sign the drivers for the future, which might enable us to save a fee for breaking the contract. Although the driver always accept to pay the fee by themselves just before their contract expires, chances are good that they ask for a decent signing fee. However, re-signing a driver in a good morale hardly cost any, in my slot, Kimi is willing to lower the wage to re-sign, and with no signing fee, little size of prize money. In comparison, sign other drivers cost a fairly high wage, and a lot signing fee.( May due to the competiton to sign the driver). That makes an inbalance.
Another thing to mention is that AI teams are able to sign a new driver in Day 1 of a new season, however we can't do that. It seems unfair, there should be a period of time like Free agent period if it don't allow us to sign for the future in the middle of the season. The current system increase our risk of fail to sign any good drivers and other free drivers have already been signed to other teams. Then the situation will be terrible cuz other targets might say they have just sign a contract so they don't want to negotiate. You even couldn't buy one with the breaking fee.
DEV should really re-think some features in the driver signing system.

Question: how everyone will choose between Kimi and Verstappen in the end of the first season for Ferrari. Comment below

Otherwise this driver is good for a better 2nd driver for a bigger team. She basicly drive for free Prolly cost like 500-650k ish in wage. With bao in tier1 they cost mayby 750k and pays like 1900k back to team :) In tier 1 its 16 races a seson wich means 30mill income. The best car cost about 45mill to build. Altough they won win any races but with low tier team mayby they will help devolp a better car so they can compete later on.

I already did in Tier 3 first season in a new save. He still wants 90k :D (and it was just Yellow)
Dont know whats based on how much they want. So maybe there are things so it can be different.
Tang already has a Team at start when im not wrong. So this would cost you more.
Theres another driver at start, dont know his name yet, whos already free agent and gives some Sponsor money.

Without scouting Upgrades cause then you would see way more driver. Just saying to clarify this.

I dont mean Bjelland :)

Bjelland and Meulen is also paydrivers. But they suck. But as reserve drivers thery pay half for driving the practise. for me Bjelland always runs practise insteed of Rodrigues and pays me like 450k for hes 20min of fame on the track :)

i noticed that the cars are very equal at the beginning but after 6-7 years you get backmarkers that just cant keep up so drivers will become less important

but they will be very important when this happens

Meulen .. right.. that was his name :)

I know they suck. Normally Pay Driver do so. maybe theres a good one once in 20 Years. But thats why they have to pay to drive.

@Hateuall: sounds like the Performance drop they already called. So when u already best team u will still stay best team but the others come a bit closer to you. Not a big deal.

Lauda payed to drive his first race, so did Senna (I think at least). Schumacher brought a "small" sum to Jordan so he could drive his first race... and I think even Alonso payed something to go to Minardi.

There's actually a file in the assets which lets you, dictate how much difference in speed the best to worst driver will be. I think on ,Edith races, it was about 4 seconds a lap... I assume that's someone with all 20's vs someone with all 1's, but it maybe more relative to what's in the grid.
Can you please tell me who this Rodrigues guy is? where can i get him
Silverangel Nov 17, 2016 @ 7:12am
Rafael Rodrigues. Go into Scouting Tab and search him :D

I am glad to see he's begging famous, he won't with my midfield Archer team in seasons 2/3 without major effort. Even in Asia, in the first season, he could still squeeze a 3rd place regularly, and with some luck, and even some wins.

Oh and to clarify: Some people just play Short and/or Medium races.
That makes in WAY easier. Especially in the lower tiers.

So when u go for Long Races its not so easy again to win Race after Race in first Season with Predator.
The Strength of Teams and Drivers can played out in Long races Way better.
So no wonder why some people have so easy way up to the Top.

I'll be playing more tonight, I'll post if this run of wins and podiums continues on long.

The tracks last night might've just suited the car better.

Keep in mind that even in T3, if you have good driver you can still overcome bad car, even on longer races. The actual speed difference between fastest and lowest car ain't that big, as they start to be later on when you have fast cars relegating there from higher tier, mixing everything up. Bottom line, driver still makes a lot of difference in T3, that it doesn't do anymore at higher tier.
Silverangel Nov 17, 2016 @ 7:43am
Correct. But with the Reversed start and Long races you will have it a bit Harder. You still can make decent Races. But you dont wanna win each Race right from the start.
When you know what your doing u still will be good down there, but not as easy as with short races.

Oh no, yet again something that needs to be balanced and fixed heavily.

Drivers that have been in tier 1 should never go to lower tiers (at least not tier3). I know irl also in low tiers you can find really quick and talented drivers (Verstappen and Stroll for example), but it shouldn't be poosible to get them with Predator or something similar. They should know they are good and should always aim to the best cars no matter what tier. Please fix this. Imo it can be even game braking flaw.

Also please make cars way more important than drivers.
