Game stops responding before main menu.
Recently i’ve found it impossible to get onto the main menu for Motorsport Manager, the game will go past the pre menu video and then get stuck on the loading screen just before the main menu. I’ve tried everything to get the game to work, even resetting my laptop entirely and reinstalling the game, but to no avail, is there anyone who’s had the same issue? If so, what fixed it?

Be patient waiting for the main menu. With recent patches loading now takes around two minutes...just wait...do not try anything else in this time. Hope this is your issue.

Eventually found the issue, the mods in the Steam Workshop I had subscribed to and was using made the game use far too much memory when loading up. I deleted the mods under the Workshop folder in the "steamapps" section (Program Files x86 > Steam > steamapps), restarted the game and unsubscribed to all the mods under Workshop in-game, so they wouldn't load up again whenever i restarted the game. On the safe side I ran the game as Administrator while under Windows Vista for compatability mode and the game works good as new!

For now I won't use any mods and will use the game as it was originally, as I just don't believe my laptop can handle the memory usage the mods seem to create, but being able to play it again after a month or so is a wonderful feeling! Hope this helps! :steamhappy:

I had a problem with starting the game too. Whenever I opened the game, I got a black screen and after a few seconds, the game closed.

For me it helped to turn off my wi-fi connection and everything works fine now, as long as I don't connect my wi-fi.

Hope this will help.
