Driver Marketability?
What effects it? I have a dilemma with Ines Santa Ana. 2% marketability despite honestly finishing on a regular basis better than her car is capable of. Season 2 and still the worst cars in the field. Her marketability though just keeps sinking. Hopefully though the young and rising star I'm hoping to steal from ZRT will sign. His 78% rating will certainly help offset Ines lack of it.

There is nothing that can permanently increase it. There are a number of events that give buffs that temporarily increase or decrease it, but that's it. It's an overly simple mechanic, sadly, and you're likely getting the short end of the stick with events affecting her right now.

And if it's Valdes you're talking about, be careful - he wants a TON of money and #1 status.

Can't recall the name but he is 17, and basically a mirror stat wise as Ines, but with better marketability. Tired of having to place all my faith in Ines. Managed two podiums with her, but one with Evans and that one was pure luck. He consistently finishes 15th or worse a lap down. My long run strategy is working quite well. Ines is currently 6th in points. Evans is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 18th. Should have sacked him last season. He has a just about equal caras Ines, but always finishes back half of the field.

Another possibility as a bit of a back up plan, if the new driver you want doesn't sign, is to consider hiring a 'pay driver'.

I was running a newly created team down in the ERS and picked up Franky Kinney who was a pay driver. While she was only about a 2 star driver, her sponsers were paying about 230k per race. I managed to get her to sign for about 120k per race, meaning that I was able to 'pocket' the rest.... about 100k per race! In the ERS, that's basically a free engine every three races or so, or a new gearbox every one or two!
The only downside was that her stats had peaked so she wasn't going to improve at all, which was fair enough..... I knew i had about 100k in my pocket every race for the next two years. What i didn't know was that she had also reached her peak age, (35yrs old I think it was) and just after the second season started her stats just fell off a cliff... some stats were dropping by over 3% a week!
So, if you do take that route and end up picking up Kinney, (assuming she is available in your game and is also listed as a pay driver) just bear that thought in mind.
Other pay drivers are available too so Kinney isn't the only option, but she was the easiest and cheapest/most profitable for me to pick up at the time. (I've got a feeling another one was another female driver but from somewhere like Norway, or somewhere over that direction. She wanted too much in the way of wages at the time though which meant I wasn't actually gaining anything financially, and her stats didn't really warrant persuing it.)...... (Jonsdottir, was it? Name rings a bell.)

So, if Ines' marketability keeps dropping and it's starting to impact your teams ability to get sponsorship, then while a pay driver might not give you huge amounts of money, for a struggling team it might just be enough to keep your head above water for a while.
Just a little something to keep in the back of your mind, if you hadn't already looked into it.
