Pay Drivers

I'm at the point in my career now where most of the original drivers from the start of the game have retired and none of the new drivers that appear at the beginning of ever season have the pay driver trait.

It may just be that I've had bad luck and none I've scouted have had the trait but I'm in something like my 15th season and haven't seen one.

Does anyone know if the drivers that enter the market after your career begins can have the pay driver trait?

I'm about to start year 2031 though and Lara Enrique (the youngest driver on the list) has just announced her retirement. My point was, do new drivers that enter the market still get the pay driver trait? I've maxed my scouting facility and scout the new drivers every season but can't remember ever finding a new driver with pay driver as a trait. My usual strategy is to have one really good driver and one decent pay driver.

Honestly, by 2031 you shouldnt need pay drivers anymore. Of course that is just my opinion, but you should be making some serious cash by then, especially if you really build up your HQ and get the car factory and theme parks, which net about 3.5m a year combined.

Money making is fine. I just like having a surplus from pay drivers for a rainy day. Also thinking of quitting from the WMC and going back to ERS so the pay drivers would come back into it then

That list only applies to the start of the game, drivers that start without the pay driver trait can earn that trait due to random event

Yes, random drivers generated after the start of the career can have the Pay Driver trait. However, it is super rare so it should not be surprising that you don't find any at some point (I got lucky and I found a 5-start pay driver with a decent marketability once...)
