Do Upgrades Transfer when you Promote to Higher Series??
I was wondering if its a waste of money to upgrade parts in a season I know I will win since they upgrade you to the base line in the next series. Or do those upgrades still get added on top of the base line upgrade you get from promoting to the higher series??

Unfortunately not. I was under the mistaken impression that they did, and spent an extra season in the ERS to develop a fantastic engine ready for the APC. After promotion the engine was once again awful.

If you think you are going to win that years series, save your money. You are better off investing it in the better drivers/staff which will be accessible when you are promoted

the car parts will ALL be readjusted, so that you end up with the 7th-8th best parts if you promote, and with the 1st-3rd best if you demote.

When you win, you're given the option to move up. If you spent some money on good parts and don't want to see them to go waste, you can always stay in a lower tier for another season.

But then why would I do that? I had already opted to stay in the ERS for an extra season to develop brilliant parts hoping the improvement would carry accross to the APC.

It's better to take the promotion, in terms of car development, than to stay in the same league.

This is good to know, as I've only won in the ERS once and didn't take the promotion thinking I had just gotten lucky and wanted to confirm it wasn't a fluke. I restarted shortly after due to 1.3.

I'm trying to figure out what I was getting at. It seemed like a good idea at the time lol.

Agreed, even if you have an absolute abomination of a car in the ERS, should you gain promotion to the APC, the upgraded car will not be too uncompetitive. You are in a good enough spot where you can at the very least avoid finishing 10th and dropping back down
