So how far behind is my car in the WMC?
So I just started my 3rd season in WMC after getting promoted and it seems that my car is still far behind. In the last season, the 2nd, I managed to get from the 9th place to 7th with the car.. But that's still crap. I have one of the best drivers, I make a lot of money, so I always make new parts, but it seems it still isn't enough. When I started my last season I made so much money that in the end of the season I had 100 million so I spend nearly 60 to get the car to 4 stars, as the rest of the leading teams has. But it wasn't enough cuz the parts still are lacking. So, how much longer do I need to grind like this.? I have upgraded my design building to lvl 4 which took all last season to complete and now I started on my factory to get to lvl 4. Would it have been better to stay in the asian leauge and saved money and upgrade my HQ to max before jumping in the WMC?

How good are your staff and facilities and how strategic are you being about the part increases? Are you getting to epic parts for most components?
All my staff is 4 stars, I'm planning on upgrading my staff facility to max lvl soon.
Half of my parts goes up to epic the other are great.

I wondering if it woud've been better staying in the lower championship until I have fully upgraded my HQ?
So....in the car part of the management, are you above or below average on the parts? I find that that is more important to look at instead of how well/or not ranked you are in comparison to others.

You can be ranked 4th in part but still below average which means that top 3 have a huuuuge gap over the rest of the teams and you can be ranked 7th but above average which mean that the top 6 teams are relatively close in the development of that part.

Welcome to modern real life F1, where despite so many cars on the track, the dispute is really just between two or three teams (on a good year).

The rest are in it just to give the impression that it's a competitive sport, and these teams are lured into this humiliating meaningless role by being bribed with the division of the booty of advertising and video royalties monies.

As I wrote, I'm 7th place. I got one part that is like the 5th best but other than that they all are like7th or 8th. I feels like the top teams have like a huge amount of gap between them and the outher teams. I've spent 60 and 50 million to get the top notch chassis which is as good as theirs and I never stop buidling new parts but it feels like you never are gonna get to those numbers what the top teams have. And I started with a fairly avarage team. So If people was able to win WMC with teams like Predator then it has to work. But since it went so well for me up til I took the promoting I wonder what went wrong.

Oh, and as a sidenote, when I was in the asian league, my car was 5th best and I still was able to win, season after season.

I know that the sport is like in real life, but this is the game. And I should be able to beat it, specially if people were able to win it with teams like Predator.
In general the a.i. teams will lag behind player team's car progression. But you still need to play catch up for the first few seasons at least. In my first season of WMC, I went from 10th in car to 4th, second season went from 4th to em... 4th lol. The top 3 has tons of money so they too keep developing and hard to crack. Now on my 3rd season, finally get the car to 3rd spot. If you want to improve your car ranking faster, ban the gear that your designer not very good at, that way you can focus on gears that he's bettter at

Like I said, where you are ranked says 0, it only says if your parts or weaker or stronger than other teams. Whether or not your parts are below or above average is what matters.

As explained, ranked 7th in a part but still above average means you're closer to the other teams than if you're ranked 4th and below average.

I am in my third season too, everything you write I can actually relate to, it seems my cars are in a similar position. There are however only two teams in my league which are far ahead of the others, the rest are up for grabs in the races .....

I go full engines and gearboxes first, brakes and suspension after and my rear/front wings are second hand ... it works, sort of.

As was said repeatedly the number in the bars on the upper right of the screen where you select dev/mount/improve means that a specific amount of teams are better/worse than you.

How much you are behind is the height of the bars.

I checked now and yeah.. I'm below avarage.. still.. That's the thing, maybe it's a bad idea to take the promotion to WMC before you got design and factory up to lvl 4??
I suppose the money from sponsors/chairman/end of championship in WMC are higher than in the Asia-Pacific. Thus money wise if you can prevent demotion it's best aslong as you can take running behind that often.
That's true, but since I had 5* sponsors I got 2.5-4 million per race, plus the prizemoney which was 30. In WMC i got like 45 but the I only had 400-500k per race.
Problem with going back is that you're car get's worse in stats in order to match up with Asia Pacific cars.
