Multiplayer is what this game needs!!
So i have a couple of friends that play this game and we all kinda want to play this game as a League all together. Does anybody know if the devs are working on something like that?

I can confirm this, FM has multiplayer and perhaps it could be somthing they would impliment into MM but I doubt it would be any time soon

well what about a multiplayer league where everybody controls one team?

Ive thought about how this game can be played as multiplayer, and it would follow the system of Ea Sports titles like NCAA, NHL, Madden games.

The season is broken down into sections, All the stuff before or between a race, which involves, offering contracts, building parts, upgrading HQ, is all done by players the console / pc handles this individually.

After all the pre-race stuff is done, the player would confirm they are ready for the actual race. Once all players are ready the host or players (if its run via server) can launch the race. The race is done real time all players controlling as they would in any F1, or sports game.

Once that is completed all the data is uploaded and synced, and the cycle repeats... players build, upgrade, tinker in pre-race, ready up for race 2, once everyone is ready race gets launched.

The offseason stuff can be broken down into weeks. Again, players offer contracts, tinker with the team, once they have used up or simmed all the days of that week, once all the players are done, the data is synced and and the second week of preseason gets launched.

Thats how i would format Motorsport Online.

(this system may force all players and teams to be locked in a single race series, the format would need to change if players find themselves in different series)

Yes, Football Manage hsa Multiplayer Features.
But I think that's not that easy one to implemen a multiplay mode
in a game thats designed for singel player...

i used to play football manager online with a friend from work after a night shift. we did it via 'direct IP'. i think motorsport online would only work if you played it with a group of friends who you knew wouldnt leave halfway through a race. big 20 people games probably wouldnt work

OOTPB is another stats-based manager game that has healthy MP.

I'm not against MP for any of these games, but it's also a feature I doubt I would personally ever use.

i used hamachi back in the day and it worked well enough

I'd rather see them use their time, money and resources to bug fixes and adding in more content in the form of new tracks, rules, staff and drivers, rules, series and so on.

I can only see one way for MP to work in this game. What "Cadieux101" said, but with the difference that you don't actually participate in the race at all. For example, every Saturday at a set time the race is run automatically, with AI driving all cars. Then you do all the hiring, upgrading and so on during the week and next Saturday the next race is automatically run again and so on...
It removes a fun part of the game, but the managing part is still there.

Yes this is exactly how i would want it. Be able to schedule races 1 week apart or less and play it like fantasy football. Would even love it if you could have open tournaments that follow real race seasons. If F1 was in Abu Dhabi, MM's race would be there for the weekend

just having offline local mp would be a huge improvement. Like F1 manager from 97

MP can be nice if it is done right. But it is not needed for this game. It be better if they focus on expanding the game overall

Well you also could impmement it so that the race starts at a certain time and 10 mins before you can connect to the game. If you dont connect, the game could use an ai Logic. Maybe you can set your strategy first.
