Budget Issues
Hey everyone,

Hopefully someone can provide some insight in to this issue. I have been racing in the ERS and have won 3 seasons in a row, so I thought it was about time to move up to the APS and having been promoted my chairman set the budgets for next season and they are like 800k lower than last season which means my team now have a -700k a race budget so I am losing so much money!...Why is my budget so much lower now I am in a higher series? How am I going to survive?

...Is anyone else having this issue?

Chairman payments would be different. I'm not sure if 1st place chairman payments in ERS is higher or lower than 9th place chairman payments in APS, but that would be one place to look.

I'm not sure anything else would have an effect. Did you sign a bunch of new drivers/staff?

What's your team's marketability like? Have you been trying to get 4 or 5 star sponsors? Have some of your sponsors lapsed and you just haven't re-signed new ones yet?

Are you using pay drivers (I don't think the pay driver income is counted on the finances page)?

Are you still setting aside the maximum for next year's car? I'm not even sure it changes from series to series though.

That's a few places to check, but you most definitely missed something. You shouldn't be losing that much money. Or really any at all.

Higher series are more expensive to race in. Also different rules can increase the costs to race in the series. You can check the breakdown of your income by clicking the magnifier icon.

Its all about your sponsors you should be getting better offers make sure you sign a few good sponsors who pay a certain amount per race thats where most of the money comes from

But the chairman will pay more money per race in the WMC compared to the A-PCC. I know this, because I took a promotion to the WMC with ZRT Autosport, and ol' Mrs. Hanlon is paying more for a sixth place finish in the WMC compared to finishing first in the Asia-Pacific Challenge Cup.

But on the other hand, the chairman was paying the same amount of money per race in the Asia-Pacific Challenge Cup as she was in the European Racing Series.

Thanks that's good to know. Once I can renew my sponsor I will let you all know if it goes up in value in different series

They pay more but things cost more. Unless you have good sponsors giving you steady income every race, your finances go backwards on promotion to a new series because the costs increase and your not able to hit the race bonuses for X position anymore.

If only I knew this would be an issue, I would have taken a screenshot!

Mark my words: The chairman's payout is the same for each expected finish in the Asia-Pacific Challenge Cup and the European Racing Series.

I can't remember if the single race prize money in the Asia-Pacific Challenge Cup and European Racing Series is different (I think it is), but the postseason prize money is obviously better in each higher tier.
