New season, new parts?
So, I just finished my first season, playing as Eastwood Motorsports and I have a question. What happened to all my parts? They dissapeared after I chose parts for my new chassis. Does this mean investing in new designer parts isn't really a good idea? I'd like to think that my team would keep the better engines and stuff for the new season instead of starting off with terrible new equipment. Someone help me please :)

The best 2 parts from each section should carry across to the next season. Have you completed the new chassis yet ?

I did complete the new chassis, but no parts have carried across. I feel really cheated about this fact to be honest. Do they carry across as "originals"? I can't remember the stats on mine from last season, but I pumped many a million into parts, upgrading them to "good".

Thanks for replying by the way. May I ask if there's some building I need to construct in order to actually bring the parts with me? I've double and triple checked, and all parts are originals.

They will be listed as original. The numbers next to them represent the best old parts.

Designer is important, and your parts did carry over. I guess you could say limitations of the UI makes it so the carry-over parts are labelled 'originals' in the next season. The game takes your two best parts based on the Base Stat, not total potential. Unimproved potential (i.e. part says 150/165, the last 15 don't count) or conditionals (i.e. +40 during race day) do not carry over to the next season. However, if you build parts with risk levels, they will carry over (as long as they weren't banned!) and lose the risk level, which means you can build risky parts to gain a huuuge jump in performance between seasons.

As Teltae and others said, your last season parts have been carried over, you just don't realize it because they are all labeled "original" now at the beginning of the new season and you didn't check the values at the end of your last season.

For example, if you had a part with a value of 800/840 (epic), it has carried over as 800/800 (original). There may be some additional HQ and/or designer points added. The thing with risky parts is important to remember, if make them but you don't use them or don't get gauth with them, they will become legal parts for a new season (if they are among best 2 parts you have created for each part group)

Lol, soon that kind of money won't even phase you. If you upgraded all 6 parts on both cars to good (tier 2) components that a little less than 2mil. Plus as others have said the parts did carry over and are actually better than before since they get added bonuses as they cross over to become the new base parts for that season.

This confused me for a season or two. Keep improving everything for as long as you can keep the money good!

Wow, okay! Thanks so much guys, you guys clarified my questions and then some. Will invest in risky parts and leave them be at until next season. Very motivated to keep going now!
