What do you mean by atmospheric exactly?

For me atmospheric games are Batman Arkham Asylum, Bioshock, Resident evil 4 (original), Dead space (original), Thief 2014, TES Skyrim.

A Plague Tale: Innocence and A Plague Tale: Requiem are pretty similar in my opinion. Would definitely recommend.

In truth horror games come the closest, Outlast, Evil Within, Dead Space Trilogy, Resident Evil, Layers of Fear, Amnesia, Soma, if these popular titles didn't do it, look for Medieval horror games or vampire titles like Legacy of Kain

I haven't gotten it to run in a couple of years, but they just released a new minor update, so ...
The game is pure atmosphere horror with almost exactly the same twist at the end, so it may fit your desire. To be clear, however, it's pure atmosphere horror. No real puzzles, no combat, few dangers.
