If that doesn't work:
Is it possible that mesh texture got corrupted? That or it has something to do with your gpu/psu.
Honestly if you can't pin point the file that could be doing it and delete it, and require it through verifing your files, you may need to reinstall.
If reinstalling doesn't work and you are having problems in other games...could be a failing video card or psu.
Since most reviews of the game back in August were made using AMD: Catalyst 17.7.2 WHQL, did you consider installing that older driver?
- re-downloaded the game
- updated graphics drivers once more
- erased the game's profile in the AMD driver, so that it uses the general settings
- tried every single setting there to see if anything changes
- erased the AMD GPU's shader cache in the Radeon driver
I already did this before:
- verified game integrity cache (everything was fine)
- tried every in-game graphics setting step by step
- the foliage setting isn't doing anything besides increasing the amount of plants
- texture setting changes all the textures, but not the foliage textures
- deactivated the new Steam shader cache feature
-> problem still persists
Further notes:
I do not have any issues in other games, it's only pertaining to Hellblade.
Of course, going back to an old graphics driver is no "solution", since those updates exist for a reason, not to mention all the hazzle to go through...
It's such a bummer that I now have to live with that or buy the game again on my PS4 to play it normally.
Update:
Possible solution?
I deleted my save game and started again. There the textures of the plants seem normal so far.
