Recommended Graphics Settings
I would love if someone could help me in adjusting my graphics settings. Currently, trying to play this game at 1080p max settings, the game is basically unplayable as the frame rate, while hovering around 90-100 FPS, is *constantly* dipping to as low as 40 FPS (which, to say the least, is beyond immersion breaking and makes me wish I bought this for console).

CPU: i7-6700k
GPU: GTX 1070
RAM: 16 GB DDR4

(Also, for whatever it's worth, my monitor is G-Sync enabled.)

I'm playing with everything maxed out at 1080p. No issues whatsoever.

CPU: i7-8700k (not overclocked)
GPU: RTX 2070
RAM: 16GB DDR4

Sure, but your specs are significantly better than mine.

I'm running 6700k, 1080ti, and 32GB of DDR4, no problems totally maxed out. That said, at 1080p, a 1070 should be more than enough to max this game completely. If you were running at 1440p or 4k then it wouldn't be, but at 1080p it shouldn't be an issue. Makes me wonder if there's some background process causing it to dip.

Yeah, I have no idea what's causing the problems. My specs (listed above) seem good enough to max out settings at 1080p but, as stated above, I can't maintain a solid frame rate at all.

I use MSI Afterburner to help boost up my GPU a little bit.
Your biggest heavy hitters are probably view distance and shadows.
Try kicking them down and see how it runs.
