Symbol help needed!
Hey, I'm not asking for answers here, just some clarity. I want to find them myself!

So when you're looking around the area for symbols that will unlock the gate, what hints are there that I need to pick up on? I know that when you get close to it, the symbols start appearing on screen, but is there anything else that actually guides you to it or is it pretty much a find it yourself type situation?

Getting very stuck trying to find some! Thanks!

If you stand still and 'focus' you may get an audio cue towards the glyph on at least some of the puzzles. Look around you and head towards the loudest 'screams', 'crackling fire' etc.

You do not have to walk around with focus on though, merely stopping and looking around once in a while is sufficient.

Once close enough, you will get the visual cues swarming around. The 'centre' of the cluster of these will be close to either the place you need to look *at* or the place you need to look from - and this 'feels' like it is closer to the 'platform' where you stand, and biased slightly toward the direction you need to look in.

There will be a foreground object, and a background one which need to be lined up, or some variation of mask and light or object and shadow, so both place and direction are important - it is all about looking at things from a different perspective.

Once you are 'on the spot' and looking in the right direction, the red glyphs will switch to bluish white, and if you focus the Rune will be captured and passed to the door. If you aren't seeing this you are probably standing in the wrong place and should shift sideways or forward/backward a few steps, maybe considering using a different set of components if alternatives are possible.

Once all runes are found, walk toward the centre of the door and activate it with the 'push' key/button while at 'arms-length' - the most common complaint is that doors don't always open if you mush your face right into them.

I found all of the puzzles to be quite straightforward, and for the most part the 'relevant' parts of the landscape stood out as being 'oddly placed'.

That's all great advice, thank you very much! :steamhappy:
