Game Breaking Bug: Fire Gate

Found a game breaking bug in the fire gate at the start of the game. Getting stuck at the HY gate. I'm able to find both runes, but when I go back to check on the gate, it doesn't open. What gives?

Not a bug, you people don't know how to open doors is all. Back up from the door a little then hit the f key to open it.

i had the same problem a couple hours ago but its working now. its not a bug, just follow what the other guys are saying. try to move back and fort, right and left whilst repeatedly tapping on the y button or the f.

Just ran into the same issue, glad I found this thread.
Maybe it`s not really a bug, but the trigger for the gate could do with some fixing ... all other gates up to this point can be opened standing right in front of them.
