Everything HyperX are like $10 cheap junk. Gamers who say HyperX are good, must be getting $ from them. G430 is half the price and twice as good.
Seriously, get studio quality stuff for around that $100 mark, not cheap quality stuff.
What AUDIO do you have? What does it say in Windows Playback or Device Manager?
Oh and I do not use crappy on board audio I have old Audigy 2 card ;)

Sennheiser is high quality stuff; Kingston and Corsair are junk for audio, designed to grab money from gamers. Just like Turtle Beach for Xbox... junk...
Even Sony have some good ones, but proffesionals, yes I work with reals ones, who have got audio consoles for 25.000 $... Use Sennheiser and also quite a lot of JBL... And some stuff from Yamaha (like audio consoles)...
And even for normal person it is easy to go to the shop/market, with Smartphone with set of good bitrate mp3, and check it personally :) But for this you have to have good hearing ;) I have glasses but my hearing is very well :)
You realize there is zero difference right?
The only reason to get a sound card today, is for better Inputs and Output options; thats it, there is zero difference in Codec or Db quality when compared to Motherboard audio surrounding Realtek HD; they are basically the same dam thing. Most audio is only the way it is, due to logic switching and software enhancements anyways.
Just like how none of those Headphones or "Surround Sound"; its software based virtual surround, thats how it works.
But see you know the good stuff; typical gamer does not, that is my point.
99% of anything that says Gamer on it; you probably should avoid.
This basically means anything from Kingston, Corsair, Turtle Beach... regarding Audio. These are not audio brands.
JBL are usually crappy as hell, aren't they?
I am a speaker guy. I have invested in a quality home theater 5.1 system with a new 4K 60FPS HDR AV-Receiver, new rear speakers and more. I don't know anything about HeadPhones and I rarely ever use them. So I didn't want to spend too much - but it would be interesting to know some suggestion in case I make a future investment.
As I wrote above... 150$ Sennheiser RS170. And as I wrote I could buy even better quality but wired...
I am family guy with wife and kids and can play only on headphones so I search for good ones ;)
You are 100% right!
And I am too old (38 and with computers for 31 years...) so all this for gamers stuff does not work on me :p
I don't mean the headphones they produce nowadays.
Look up "Zalman ZM-RS6F".
It was the 1st REAL 5.1 headphone
Headphones with 6 integrated speakers 4 perfect surround sound.
U can find it on ebay.
Sorry, I rarely do this but I have to disagree. I have a pair of those that have been sitting in a box for more than a decade. The audio quality is just awful and the surround effect is anemic in comparison to modern day virtual algorithms. While I don't agree with some of the harsh comments in this thread regarding the quality of the OP's headphones, I can agree with the sentiment.
Nothing compares to high quality audio gear from a vendor that specializes in it. I don't even run a 5.1 setup in favor of a pair of high end (though not ultra, audiophile quality) speakers (Vanatoo T1s). Once you discover how much better the experience is with this class of audio gear, you'll wonder why you wanted so long.
Do u have the USB-version?
I don't have the USB-version.
