Please ultrawide 21:9 users subscribe here [UPDATED]
I saw that developers actually read this forum and they even reply. So let's gather in this thread to express our desire of the game (actually any game, of course) to be supporting 21:9.

It's unreal engine 4, so it is really not hard to do it, many other games with the same engine support 21:9 without problems, other games were 'fixed' by the community, others are just a mess. So please, just keep in mind that the 21:9 user base is much bigger than you think.

UPDATE: The game is 21:9 hor+ so no problem in that sense. Cutscenes? Not yet sure. HUD?
Game doesn't really use HUD. Thanks to SpriggsyUK for this comparison:

Is the image cropped?

Nobody cares about your communistic bs. If someone is shaming anyone then this is you shaming PC community with your presence. Console is right place for this kind of posts, there you have no rights, no options and very strict dirt low standards, post your nonsense there.

It's not 2009 anymore. The amount of 21:9 users have grown tremendously.

Can you please post 2560x1440 and 3440x1440 for comparison? Even if image will be stretched with 2560x1440 the screenshot will be proper, this is just a way display scales things. Change scaling to GPU and Proportions in Nvidia Control Panel to get proper scaling always.

I went to the Reddit Ultrawide forums because people here give conflicting answers.

I found this from a user

Now I don't know if the image is cropped or not since I don't have the game and don't know how the FoV is.

Game tends to have very low FOV and very closed up scenes so I'd say that this proper 21:9. Anyway, the game just released today and it is only morning, we will get proper info in few hours.

EDIT

here is the same scene from 16:9 gameplay: https://youtu.be/H5uj7UKAsh0?t=7m28s

This reddit screenshot looks like native 21:9, 99% sure.

So definitely native 21:9

Oh nice. I don't know what some people are talking about then unless the game has a bug where it's not setting the correct aspect ratio for some users.

The game renders in 3440x1440 perfectly in my case, no letterboxing or cropping, full native 21:9.

it's very simple. Some "people" (read: idiots) think that only because a game is not stretched nor letterboxed, it correctly renders 21:9 (happened with Far Cry 4 disussions A LOT)

WRONG

sadly these people won't notice the difference maybe because they don't even know it. It's simply a matter of hor+ vs vert-

Anyway, we can still confide in people who know the difference and can report here with comparison screenshots 16:9 vs 21:9, it's the simplest way to see how the HUD behaves and how much zooming / cropping is there (if there is any) and if the adjustable FOV is high enough for 21:9.

exactly, we can't be sure from only that image. Also only because cutscenes may be correctly rendered hor+, doesn't mean that the game is, or even worse, the HUD (if there is any). Sadly I haven't got the game so whoever has the game could just post 2 screenshots for comparison....very simple.

On youtube didn't find anything yet, and also didn't find 21:9 screenshots, must check the steam screenshots (but you can't filter them).

Whoever has the game already just post some comparison screenshots (both 16:9 and 21:9 in the same spot) so we can finally have the right answers.
Slickstream Aug 8, 2017 @ 3:05am
Funny, so everybody claiming that it renders 21:9 correctly up to this point is a blatant idiot for not showing 16:9 comparison screenshots (which are almost completly fallacious for this purpose).

Also note that the game, by design, has almost no HUD elements. In any case, since i'm by definition an idiot, i wont be posting again, least of all useless screenshots. Good luck ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
2560x1080 works fine - tho no mouse senitivity slider - it is atrocious

guys, we all want the same thing. insulting each other is absolutely unnecessary. just be nice, alright? :golden::Scissors:
