Not all games are properly labeled as using Denuvo DRM, I have seen some games that are missing the label, including other DRM managers being used besides Denuvo although not as intrusive so I don't care about them.
Steam really should require all games to clearly be marked, as well as any product pages being activated to be required to have Denuvo listed on their third party sales page for example I purchased "Conan Exiles" but I have fully removed, format my drive and all because I don't trust Denuvo, and I will never be able to play it unless the company removes Denuvo.
Any and all DRM is crackable, and I don't mind DRM if its legitimate, and not frustrating, I use Steam DRM, Origins, and other DRM's just fine but Denuvo is too intrusive, and malicious for my tastes, use a reputable DRM I personally don't care, although I know any DRM is easily cracked and popular games like Mass Effect Andormeda were cracked regardless of Denuvo in under 7 days...
But I didn't buy the game because of Denuvo had they not had used Denuvo I would have purchased it its just a shame that such a great series gets destroyed by ignorance, heck I went to Best Buy and I saw like 10 copies of the Mass Efffect Collectors Edition for $60, and I spent over $3,000 on computer parts wanted to pick up the collectors set but then I remembered Denuvo and said no thanks, its not that I don't have the money its that I won't trust a malicious 3rd party DRM not made in the U.S running on my system.
Yeah I saw that some games on srteam which did not have Denuvo listed at the time, and yeah I flagged them appears they now have it listed.
I am fine with many other forms of DRM, although Denuvo in my eyes has proven to be nothing but malicious, theres lots of data on Google about it.
Wish developers would trust in its legitimate customers to buy the game instead of causing performance issues and such, legitimate people will always buy the game, pirates are always going to be just that regardless of DRM used and in reality IMO its not going to save much money for the developers I would be happy to purchase more games that do not use Denuvo even if there was a pirated copy out there and I could get it for nothing, if I truly liked the game.
This thread can die now!
DRM free, no connection required to play.
Also 3€ cheaper.
I mean you pay the same price but they add some momray to your GOG wallet with every purchase. You can buy something once you have enough or use it as discount for a game. Because 1$ doesn't equal 1€.
Yea, like its real hard to crack games these days and even harder to download it haha
Thanks yeah I prefer steam, I am just glad some developers are respecting consuimers and giving people content DRM free, or without the use of intrusive DRM, been waiting for the game to go live myself wonder what its going to look like with a 1080ti and 4k...
I really hope that in the future more games will drop the intrusive DRM, it just sucks having to always look over my shoulder for which games have it because they aren't always listed on steam and I don't consent or want 3rd party DRM's installed on my PC at all unless its a platform such as Uplay, Steam, Origins, Serial Key, then I am fine but Denuvo no thanks.
So far the game runs great on a wide range of systems. With denuvo people would be complaining about lots of stuttering and low framerates.
No, Hellblade only has Steam-DRM. Buy it on GoG if you want it DRM-free.
