The game is also available for pre-purchase on GOG.com: https://www.gog.com/game/hellblade_senuas_sacrifice

Which means it's going to be DRM-free. Denuvo-free on Steam at the very least.

Ah awesome thanks great to see a DRM free site actually, Hope more games will follow this...

Is GOG its own platform like steam btw, or just a place where you pay and they give you a download link?

Hopefully steam will eventually add a DRM-FREE section to steam where all games listed under it are DRM Free, or Steam Only.

GOG is known for years and is one of major storefronts now, you probably didn't pay enough attention to the market. You can even connect your Steam account and acquire DRM-free copies of some games you own on Steam: https://www.gog.com/connect
It's just that most big publishers avoid it because they don't like selling DRM-free things to customers.

Ah thanks I might go ahead and connect it so by connecting a Steam accounnt to GOG it will automatically detect my games and give DRM free versions of the ones that tare open to it?

And nope I generally don't use GOG have always used steam with over 200 Steam Games.

Does GOG also work the other way around with DRM free games on there to steam?

Their "Connect" thing is not a big feature yet, and it works like this:
- At some point (unpredictable), they add certain games to this feature, and you will see new games appear on that Connect page. If you own any games on Steam from their current list, you can press the button to add them in DRM-free form to your GOG account.
- It will detect games you own, but will not add them automatically, you still have to press the button on Connect page.
- At some point later, they remove games from this page, meaning every game offer is time-limited. If you were quick enough to catch them and press the button, they are yours forever, otherwise they'll disappear. They may re-appear in future though. From what I remember, most offers are valid for a few weeks.
- It seems like the feature is still in testing, as it likely requires certain effort and negotiations with many publishers. It may get more huge in future or it may disappear completely.

No, it doesn't seem to work the other way around - you can't activate on Steam games you own on GOG. Although certain developers may be able to provide you with free Steam key with your DRM-free purchase, like they do somethimes through HumbleBundle store, you'll have to be informed about this beforehand.

Also about GOG being a platform - they have their own games client, it's optional, feature-rich and not required to play games like Steam does: https://www.gog.com/galaxy

1:)
Gog is it's own site, and has it's own client program now called GOG Galaxy. (GOG Galaxy isn't required to play GOG games though , like the Steam Client is for Steam Games. GOG Galaxy is optional).

2:)
No, Steam will never have a DRM-Free section, Valve is another DRM centric company (although not as heavy-handed as EA or Ubisoft) and if they offered a DRM free sectio other devs/publishers will abandon the Steam Platform as they would lose faith in Steams "attempts" of Piracy Prevention.

Actually Steam can have games not implementing DRM and work just as a distribution platform for them. It's only up to publishers whether they want to use Steam functions to protect their games from copying/launching outside of the Steam platform. There are games which after downloading through Steam can be launched and played outside of Steam just fine, without the Steam client running, or after copying them to another location/machine even without Steam client installed (e.g. Kerbal Space Program). In such case you may compare it to the GOG's Galaxy client (but that one isn't required to download games there - but in both cases you need an account to access your purchased games).

Im fine with Legitimate DRM like "Steam" "Origins" and such, but Denuvo is made by a shady 3rd party company which...

1st got hacked themselves revelaling personal information such as email addresses to everyone on the internet who would be looking for such.

2nd, then they gott caught using illegal unlicensed software in it I hear got sued but it was cancelled I think for an out of court settlement?

https://www.reddit.com/r/CrackWatch/comments/6evy3s/denuvo_is_going_to_be_sued/

3rd, They refuse to reply to my support emails when I ask about removing all data it installs or leaves on my systtem, whih means id Rather trust a Russian hacker / crack, or illegal copy of any game over Denuvo running on my pc any day.

{LINK REMOVED} Not posting cracks, but here you can view every game that has had Denuvo, and how long it took to crack its not even worthit a Developers time or money, and those who do use it it prevents people like me from buying it, and as I don't consent to having Denuvo on my system now I have to ask before buying my games if it has this garbage in it.

^ Im just saying the money thhey wasted for useless DRM, should have either been used to irmprove tthe game, or been donated tot charity since it was going to be thrown down the drain anyways.

Developers have no support and publish, it is unlikely that there will be a denuvo

you shouldn't include the username (the small text on the top right of the steam client, next to your notifications icon) in your screenshots. It is a security risk. When I uploads images of my Steam Client I always marquee ti in photoshop and blur it into non existance.

Important note about Denuvo:

Steam labels games which use third-party DRM. Denuvo advertises itself, in spite of blatantly being DRM, as not being such, and Steam lets them keep up that pretense and doesn't label games with Denuvo as having any additional DRM. It's stupid that they are still failing to address this, since it's something they consider important to inform customers of for many other, less intrusive DRM solutions.
