Hello Magical People!

Welcome to the first Devlog of the game project Spire of Chaos: Arcana Unleashed!

Who are we?

We are Hidden Gems, a team of 25 students from UQAT's Montréal campus composed entirely of students in their last year of university. We are currently working on our final project, Spire of Chaos: Arcana Unleashed. This project will be the fruit of 5 months of hard work that we are still actively developing.

What is Spire of Chaos: Arcana Unleashed?

Spire of Chaos: Arcana Unleashed is a 3D souls-lite action game where you play as Arxis, a magical girl linked to the card of the Tower, a source of chaotic power and one of the most feared arcana of the Tarot. The game will be totally FREE TO PLAY!

Where are we in the production?

Right now, we are adjusting the game with the feedback of our latest playtests while also adding more elements to the game. We are making changes here and there to make sure we deliver the best we can do with the resources we have. We are also currently working with sound design students from the Université de Montréal to work on music and sound effects that will fit our game perfectly!

We are excited to share our journey with these weekly devlogs explaining in details how each aspect of the game was made, what challenges we encountered, and how we overcame them. We might also add some fun facts about the team members while we're at it! :)

Planned Release Date

The full release of the game is planned for April 10th, keep that date in mind while waiting to play Spire of Chaos: Arcana Unleashed!
